i'm totally smitten with this album. his first solo from 81 but it sounds like it could easily have been recorded in the early to mid 70s. recorded in Ghana with a backing band of natives. great rockers, great ballads and a few "worldbeat" (ugh) tracks that are amazing. afro funk that sounds like Cymande.

anyone else dig this? are his other albums worth tracking down?

here's the instrumental afro funk/cymande track i got from bumrocks recently. the rest of the album blew me away because it's so different and so good.

Does Lindsey play on this?

Does Lindsey play on this?

No, but he covers "Walk a Thin Line" with George Harrison on guitar.

Also, the actual Peter Green is on a remake of "Rattlesnake Shake." It's not bad, either.

Yeah others are worth tracking down -- specifically his second solo album under Mick Fleetwood's Zoo.

"I'm Not Me" It was out in 1983, 1984.

Very good album with strong, poppy contributions from Billy Burnette. Sorta rockabilly Fleetwood Mac meets Beach Boys.

Never released on CD. It's a crime.

I absolutely adore this album. probably my favorite solo album by a Fleetwood Mac member, although I really do love Lindsey's "Under The Skin."
