Ok this is now officially single of the year. Maybe it's because I've been up for 24 hours but I actually started to choke up at this video. There may not be a better evocation of what's it like to dance to disco in a club, the overwhelming feeling of being thrown amongst layers of colorful strangers and lights. On a roller rink somewhere, Debbie Deb is proud.

but just what is the best escort single? I'd vote for Love in Indigo for dayz. And frankly, a lot of their tracks don't get me incredibly moist, just slightly damp (examples: all through the night, bright new life).

I would say that Starlight, Love In Indigo, and Bright New Life are all better than All Through The Night. All Through The Night is probably my least favorite track of theirs. I just hope the album is as good as the first three singles.

Came in here to ask whatever happened to these guys only to find it hadn't been as long as I thought. Still, though, we haven't had anything Escort-related (except that Drums od Death remix/edit) in what FEELS like ages, so: does anyone know what they're up to?

I played Bight New Life at a gig this weekend and I was wondering the same thing about them. They had such a great string of records and things seem to have dried up. When are they going to start dropping records again?

I heard 'Bright New Life' on a Balearic Mike mix & just assumed it was an obscure track from the past or re-edit, couldn't believe people were making tracks like that in '07 when I found out it was current, great track

Finally came around to listening to this - fantastic, though in addition to the Dillinger and People's Choice lifts, it nicks the intro from Kid Creole's Annie, I'm Not Your Daddy ... oh well, I'm a fan of Alcazar so I can't complain. Anyone know if they still have an album planned?

ayo, just saw these dudes live and free at an outdoor concert at the mtl jazz festival. it was crazy! like 50,000 people in the audience, no way they've ever played a show that big. and they were loving it (and the singer spoke very fluent french! she was awesome in ever other way too). they played, in addition to their hits, 'there but for the grace of god,' 'miss broadway,' some gino soccio and even 'le cactus' by jacques dutronc. so good!

oh and there were fireworks and a giant disco ball
