When "Fly" came out, even the rap station here played it, cuz it was just so fuckin great that you had to, you know. If you didn't, people would be like, "Fuck this non-'Fly'-playing-ass station."

Hated it that summer it was inescapable, gradually let it grow on me. I Still like probably all of their derivative breezy acoustic guitar hits that came after it more than this, though ("When It's Over" >> "Someday" >>>>> "Every Morning" >>>>>>> "Fly").

"When It's Over" is indeed SOOOOO much better than "Fly" (as is virtually everything on their largely unsung debut, Lemonade & Brownies.

i remember seeing an interview w/the sugar ray guy on tv when this song came out. he said something like, "yeah we've been wanting to work with supercat for a long time." I mean, I also want to work with supercat.

yeah, he kicked ass on Rock'n'Roll Jeopardy. I think he's more knowledgeable by pop star standards than by message board nerd standards, though. on I Love The 80's, he was so eager to show off that he knew the names of members of The Pretenders other than Chrissie Hynde that he messed up James Honeyman-Scott's name.

Someday's my fave but this song is great.
