'single ladies'...both are subpar lead singles, second tier versions of previously recorded excellent album tracks ('ooh ooh baby' and 'get me bodied' respectively), both have great videos. 'single ladies' is basically adequately functional though (ie, would dance to it) whereas 'womanizer' tries to overwhelm you and fails.

both are better than xtina's subpar comeback effort, and all of those are better than the new sugababes and girls aloud lead singles. 2008: not a good year for big pop names.

(still hyped about the beyonce and britney albums though!)

whereas womanizer is just pure pop nonsense. also i find the chorus to be strangely catchy in the way the word womanizer is along with "oh" are used in an odd little pattern thats hard to remember.

Well, that whole person's-value-as-property is the central point behind nearly every Beyonce single, so it shouldn't surprise anyone by this point. She's consistent about calling it as she sees it.
