John, great stuff. Any chance we could relisten your show afterwards?

I've my own weekly show as well on Belgian Radio Scorpio (FM+stream) called 'Sterrenplaten' covering as much (new) ground as possible *without falling apart*

Here's the playlist from last Friday's show, with upcoming stuff from Ought on Constellation (v nice debut album if you into Feelies, Talking Heads, Violent Femmes (who isn't?)) and an improvistation between NeoTantrik (Andy Votel & Sean Canty from Demdike Stare) & Suzanne Ciani:

Miles Davis - Sanctuary (live at Fillmore June 19, 1970)
Kemialliset Ystävät - Marsin Kanaalit + Opaali) [10-Year anniversary Dekorder]
Klaus Johann Grobe - Traumhaft
Parquet Courts - Sunbathing Animal
Ought - Around Again (forthcoming)
Life Without Buildings - The Leannover [RSD reissue)
M O N E Y - Cold Water [Free tickets for bill with Wild Beast later this month in Brussels]
Wild Beasts - We still Got The Taste Dancing On our Tongues
Frankie Knuckles Presents Jamie Principle - Bad Boy ('Unreleased mix')
Miles Davis - Directions (live at Fillmore June 17, 1970)
NeoTantrik & Suzanne Ciani - Blue Amiga (forthcoming)

You can relisten here (no download): http://i.mixcloud.com/CHLXBw

I'm co-running Radio Scorpio, so nice to see similar independent stations (without commercials) as Chirp.

Thanks, Maarten. I'll check it out! Are you co-running the station, then? That's awesome.

My archives are at http://mixcloud.com/jseraf

Will post the rest of the playlist and a link in a bit.

Rebecca Gates, "Take a Little Time" (around 2:43:00)
Tweens. "Beat Your Heart" (28:45)
Muuy Biien "White Ego" (14:25)
Les Big Byrd "They Worshipped Cats" (18:20)
Silver Fox "Marble World" (39:00)
Golden Retriever "Flight Song" (1:27:00)
Blessure Grave, "Water" (2:18:30)

Would love any feedback. Thanks!

Indeed co-running the station, concentrating myself on music, legal affairs and various projects (voluntary).

Nice show you've got. But three hours every week would kill me. Preparing for one hour is exhausting enough :-)

All in Dutch, should have mentionned that

maarten, Monday, 7 April 2014 20:53 (ten years ago) link

Putting together three hours of new music weekly is a blessing/curse. I've culled through a ton of stuff that I never would have otherwise heard but it's also eating up any listening I'd do for, y'know, fun. Fifteen weeks in, I've minimized repeating artists, but I know it's gonna catch up with me on one of these shows.

Three hours of covers tonight, if you're so inclined. Listen here: http://chirpradio.org/

So... I have a radio show and Domino sent us the upcoming Owen Pallett single 'Song For Five & Six' last week and Leaf the upcoming Roll The Dice album (early June). So I managed to bring them both into the playlist. Keeping them together with Ryley Walker, Swans, Thee Oh Sees, Kuedo, Bass Clef and Future. Don't know if it all worked out, but at least you can see I'm an ILM addict.

Relisten link here http://i.mixcloud.com/CH0Mtd

And tracklist:

Owen Pallett - Song For Five And Six (this is the 'radio edit')
Swans - Oxygen
Thee Oh Sees - Savage Victory
Ryley Walker - The West Wind
Marissa Nadler - Dead City Emily
Roll The Dice - Haunted Piano
Fennesz - The Liar
Legowelt - When The Spring Comes Again
Bass Clef - Fluorescent City Shining City
Kuedo - Mtzpn
Future - Blood, Sweat, Tears
