Do you wear hats? Generally I'm not really a hat person but living in New England makes hats a necessity this time of year. This has been the one I've worn the psast few years. In fact, I love it so much that I have two of them:

Hmm I have a couple of hats and was just thinking about how to clean out the band, cos it gets sweaty after a few years of wearing in outside, into the train, into a store, back outside, back inside, etc.
Was thinking about some watered-down Woolite applied gently with a toothbrush, then patting dry w paper towels?

sweat stains on hats are pretty grim imo.

The sweat is only on the inside where it touches skin/hair. Anyway, you can't put a hand-made, hand-blocked wool felt hat into the wash.
