prob. means kosher restricts only certain parts of the animal as edible whereas halal does not?

All vegetables are halal
All seafood is halal (according to the opinion of the majority of jurists)
bacon, blood and meat of animals that have not been slaughtered in God's name are not halal, that makes kosher meat halal because Rabbis are believers in one God. However an animal slaughtered by Pagans or Atheists would not be Halal
Carnivores (dogs, cats, tigers, lions) are not halal (majority opinion)
All meat becomes halal if you're dying of hunger and that's the only food available - Except human meat which is not halal even to save your life.

halal seems real vague. i dont trust places with halal signage to be fresh necessarily.

★★★ This place has excellent food especially their Karahi which is extremely delicious. Seekh kababs are worth trying too. Unfortunately, this place is not a place to take your family. The couple of times that I picked up food from there, the place had all single men and was not very welcoming. In a nutshell, if you want tasty and cheap take-out food, this is the best place.
