Scranton City Counci outburst results in charges

SCRANTON — A Pine Brook man faces charges in connection with an outburst that resulted in his removal from a City Council meeting Tuesday night.

Raymond Lyman, 41, of 314 Phelps St., continued to speak and yell at council members after he was gaveled out of order by President Bob McGoff, according to the arrest affidavit. After his arrest outside council chambers, he was taken to police headquarters for processing and later released.

Police charged Mr. Lyman with disrupting a public meeting and disorderly conduct.

i have a coworker from scranton and he didn't know about ray, maybe because he was too young in ray's heyday. he loves the videos and has been playing the audio in his car. he told me mr. courtright eventually became mayor, but is no longer, because he was convicted of federal corruption charges this year!
