i was hoping someone would bring classical and flamenco guitars into the thread. idk a thing about them.

i listen to forca bruta whenever i clean my house.

u should listen to every 1970s Jorge Ben album when u clean anything, or when u dirty it, depending on your mood

five months pass...

if i ever become an eccentric rich weirdo, i bet i'd start buying up old stauffer and martin & coupa guitars and stuff. (in addition to living in a cave, canning my own body shavings, howling at rocks...standard loony rich guy fare... )

i was in 'the graveyard' at school looking through old blown to bits guitars we have piled up for students to practice repairs on and there was one of those Kay Kraft's i posted in the OP. had the cool gold leaf all over the body, but weirdly it was dovetailed as opposed to the adjustable cantilevered neck/heel thing they all usually have. aside from having been pretty well demolished it looked like a relatively nice guitar (or had been); top was solid spruce instead of some cheap laminate, back/sides looked like some pretty nice birdseye.

from build perspective i have no idea how you execute without the sides splitting or coming apart when bent

and the inlays themselves, made from bajillions of tiny pieces of wood, are also p fucked up

I don’t need a classical guitar, right? I don’t even want to play classical but I want that mellow nylon string sound. And there seem to be some decent affordable ones out there. But I don’t really need more guitars.

I would love to have a resonator guitar to pluck around on as I love the sound of those. Kind of the same, I really just need to play what I got.

I'll just take a prewar Martin D-18 thanks.
I do have a 1981 K Yairi DY-45 so I'm pretty sorted in the acoustic department.
