it only embeds if the url is in the form of http :// www . youtube . com / watch?v=KWbLq0kMEpM
if you copy & paste the url directly from the address bar in Firefox or Chrome or Explorer, it should work just fine. if you're on a phone/tablet, idk.

btw, brimstead, if you view this thread with images off, you'll see that the video I embedded shows up as http :// www.youtube . com /v/KWbLq0kMEpM&fs=1&hl=en
but that's not the url I copied and pasted into this thread -- I used the link ending in 'watch?v=KWbLq0kMEpM'.
through some arcane bbcode voodoo, youtube embeds appear in the '/v/KWbLq0kMEpM&fs=1&hl=en' format when you view ilx with images off. but if you actually post a "/v/" link, the video doesn't embed. '/watch?v=' is the only way to do it.
