considering Hamilton can be kept for the next five years and fielder is sort of a gamble (tho he looks ok so far), i felt Will was coming out on top. admittedly i'm more skeptical of Prince's chances of bouncing back than most.

i like billy hamilton, but not for our league.

OBP - upside is avg someday?
SLG - nope
XBH - nope
NSB - well yeah

not terrible, and grabbing him guarantees a good finish in NSB, but he's a liability in the other categories

I'm doing fantasy bb for the first time this year, not in the ILX league but some ILX people are in it, and I have no idea what I'm doing and my team is terrible. I need a Cyrano de Bergerac to whisper in my ear and tell me what to do.

My team figured out how to steal bases all of a sudden -- 10 NSB in the past three days. I went from last to first in the category in one day (literally between yesterday and today).

well – an unexpected congrats to whoever grabbed Addison Russel. getting the call!

i'm probably going to have him hang out in the NA spot until he gets going - maybe even all the way into next year, depending on how well he does. i don't want to repeat my terrible mistake with rizzo (i drafted and played him every day during his mediocre 2013, then traded him away for $14 and a lonnie smith rookie card in Fair condition just before he finally morphed into Anthony Rizzo, baseball star)

i don't think you can keep him in the NA slot once he's no longer "NA". not if you want to make any roster moves, at least.

hmmm, i was thinking it had the same rules as the DL slot (you can keep a player in the DL spot after they come off the DL in real life, i believe)

well, if it comes down to it i suppose i can drop the legendary B. Shaw (RP-Cle) from my roster

gatdang, i still only have one NSB! had no idea it was that dire. come on billy, don't go into drought mode!

i was thinking of how the Dl worked too. once someone on the DL is no longer eligible, they won't let you add/drop anyone. beyond that they will let you get away with it for a few weeks before being stubborn about it and not letting you adjust your roster.

also – my 2-catcher plan should have been a 3-catcher plan, as I have now lost both to the DL in a day.

my "pick up a different catcher every week" plan devolved into the "vogt or die" model

you're lucky i went with d'Arnaud in our league – went for Vogt as my 2nd in my other two leagues (the difference being i liked Travis for OBP better).

If we add a gorgeous quotient stat to batters in 2016 (GQ, obv) then Anthony Recker would be a stud IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE AM I RIGHT?

Wait a minute, I traded you Strasburg as part of that deal (who is still on your team) but more importantly, I never got my Lonnie Smith rookie card!
