In nine no-decisions this season, deGrom has a 1.92 ERA. Six times he has allowed no more than one run and failed to get a win. Familia has squandered three ninth-inning leads for deGrom, who has held the opposition to one run or fewer in each of his past four starts (0.65 ERA) and owns a 1.56 ERA since the All-Star break.

It would be a good time for the Mets to get on a roll. One good week and they would be back in the wild card mix.
Someone has to take out the Cardinals, those clowns neeed out of the playoffs.
Don't think Pittsburgh has the pitching depth and losing Stanton has got to hobble the Marlins.

Matz stays on the DL :/
Rubin:
Terry Collins says the reports are there is no real structural damage with Steven Matz. The concern is about stiffness/tightness in Matz's shoulder, which returned during one toss whole throwing on flat ground Monday. Matz immediately was shut down.... Jacob deGrom moves up a day.
Collins confirms Michael Conforto will join the team when the roster expands Thursday. Conforto will be "in the mix" for playing time, although Collins could not define what that means.

Granderson had a terrible May and an even worse August, but has been around his career numbers the other 3 months. Here's hoping for September, or just a good-spots role in the 5-man outfield.

"Neil Walker has a herniated disk that is causing limited weakness in a foot -- similar to in 2012 with the Pirates. The initial medical opinion suggested he can play through the issue, but a second opinion is being sought to ease Walker's mind. Sandy Alderson said any report of Walker's issue being career-threatening would be inaccurate, and the Mets believe he could be back in the lineup shortly."

NEW YORK -- Will a little extra rest solve Jacob deGrom's recent struggles?“We’ll find out,” New York Mets manager Terry Collins said. “I don’t have an answer for that. If I did, I’d leave this job and go be somewhere else.”DeGrom, who was skipped Monday because Mets officials suspected he was suffering from arm fatigue, opposes Miami Marlins right-hander Jose Urena in Thursday’s 7:10 p.m. ET series finale at Citi Field as the Mets aim for a four-game sweep. DeGrom has allowed 13 runs and 25 hits in 9 2/3 innings over his past two starts.
