I am stunned that this much time has gone by since Aaron hit number 715. I watched the game on TV, and took a couple of pictures of the screen with my grandparents' little Kodak camera when he broke the record. I wish I knew what happened to those photos.
Still one of the greatest sports moments I've ever witnessed.

Today's Atlanta Journal-Constitution has a full front page completely devoted to Hank Aaron. Not one mention of Bowie Kuhn.

Good. He was off attending some banquet, I think--very important banquet, just couldn't back out. Among Kuhn's many misdeeds, far and away the worst.
Still in my Top 10 baseball moments, although it was subsequently, uh, eclipsed by Bautista, Carter in '93, and Reggie's three in '77 (in no way arguing that Aaron's HR wasn't far more important).
