So what the hell was that board invented for anyway?

This has been touched on before; from what I remember, the short version is that Keith was testing some ideas for coding private boards and created several with different options set on them that his friends were helping him test. Crut stumbled across them and Keith enlisted him to help test the functionality by creating a secret board for him to play with that had the boardid 77. Crut invited a bunch of other posters to it and it was largely an open secret from that point onwards with a low posting population until its existence was brought up on a meta thread.

In practice, it's operated as a non-googlable version of ILE where people are encouraged to "kip" (keep it positive) with varying levels of success.

The terms under which i feel objecting to a 77 poster would be valid are if the login is a sock, if they're coming to 77 to grief people or if it's someone trying to get information on users, i.e. your weirdly paranoid boss wants to see the ungooglable threads and rather than joining ILX as a member of the community, they want to bum rush into 77 and search for incriminating evidence.
The latter is highly unlikely, the former two somewhat less so.
"I don't like this guy" is not an acceptable reason to object; they can sink or swim once they're on the borad.

of 77? well there's no borad mods so the options would be to 51 sb bump them or if they're harassing other borad folk or harshing the buzz in a way that's inappropriate, you can take a complaint to Mod Request Forum.
