French band from late 70s and early 80s. *Very* inspired by Magma, especially on their earlier records. I have two: 4 Visions and Ardeur. I bring them up because even though I think they're a tad derivative, they definitely play up the energy/chops angle. Basically, think of Magma, circa Udu Wudu and Attahk, and add some more muscle. Also, their vocals are actually pretty cool, mostly just female soprano.

Hey, wow, I didn't know they had a thread. Eskaton and Archaia are my favorite Zeuhl-esque bands. "4 Visions" is sooo great.
