def not vegetarian so don't watch if you prefer to see fish keeping their heads attached - 'japanese street food', wherein we watch, without commentary, some of the most beautiful creatures of the world go from living to plated in a few patient minutes, among other things... these are mesmerizing

I greatly enjoy “It’s Alive” with Brad from Bon Appetit.

It started out mostly being about fermentation, but now it’s 50/50 “Brad does stuff” vs fermentation-adjacent recipes, which is fine by me.

watched that first kombucha one and he's all "don't touch it with your hands, bad bacteria" and then starts the siphon WITH HIS MOUTH, which maybe you can get away with, but as someone who has to do aseptic stuff all day that drove me nuts.

This has plunged me into a week-long Youtube hole of Bon Appetit videos, which makes me feel like a little bit of a suburban dad but they're just so gosh darn charming

This seems to have flown under the radar a bit unless you follow all the BA people on Twitter?

Ha I have the impression that it's been the opposite of under the radar, but I've been following it pretty closely (mostly via the BA reddit rounding everything up).
