Thibs was the defense guy

doc's more of a glue guy/figurehead i always felt. players love him and will die for him.

otm everyone whos ever met doc loves him he is apparently an extremely decent and charming human

every garnett season in boston he had a coach who totally ran the D to the extent that doc sat down and thibs or whoever stood up when the other team had the ball

Doc also was pretty good at drawing up offensive plays in a time out. Of course, they usually devolved into Paul Pierce from the elbow but sometimes they got Paul a mismatch or some space to take a fallaway jumper.
