Demarcus ORPG is gonna go up
― 乒乓, Monday, 9 December 2013 00:32 (ten years ago) link
my first thought too haha xp
― k3vin k., Monday, 9 December 2013 00:32 (ten years ago) link
Is Greivous having a good season? Haven't been paying attention.
― Call me Shitmael (CompuPost), Monday, 9 December 2013 00:33 (ten years ago) link
Wonder how all this will affect Afflalo's usage%.
greivus had an insane year last year but has just been getting in the way of thomas in sacto
― k3vin k., Monday, 9 December 2013 00:34 (ten years ago) link
I think the logic of Greivis being the starter made a lot of sense and he hasn't been awful, but IT2 has just been so good. I saw an interview with Mike Malone where they asked him if he was considering starting Thomas and he had to really think about an answer.
― Matt Armstrong, Monday, 9 December 2013 00:36 (ten years ago) link
Thomas a 2011 pick though
― Matt Armstrong, Monday, 9 December 2013 00:37 (ten years ago) link
Guys watching detroit's offense gives me like a low grade buzzing headache and I start to feel like I might pass out, is this normal
― z-time champion (agent hibachi), Monday, 9 December 2013 00:40 (ten years ago) link
isiah unleashed to watch rudy gay dribble around for 10 seconds every possession
― le goon (J0rdan S.), Monday, 9 December 2013 00:42 (ten years ago) link
lol Knicks got pounded, yo brad Stevens u suck at tanking
What if he's a super genius and this garbage celtics roster is like fourth in the east with rondo back?
― z-time champion (agent hibachi), Monday, 9 December 2013 00:43 (ten years ago) link
Yuck, probably the Pacers worst 1+ quarters of the season right now. Thunder wilin out.
― Call me Shitmael (CompuPost), Monday, 9 December 2013 00:46 (ten years ago) link
in the end this trade is pretty fucking boring. i really thought a desperate team was gonna bite on rudy.
i'm not sure exactly why the kings are doing this tho. on the one hand i don't think rudy will opt into his deal if it means another year in sacramento. on the other hand, why would you trade for a 75% season from rudy gay?
― le goon (J0rdan S.), Monday, 9 December 2013 00:46 (ten years ago) link
Sometimes Rondo and Stevens look like Lin and Parsons on the sideline, could really bode well if Celtics hit jackpot in the draft next few years and Green doesn't regress back to normal Jeff Green.
― Call me Shitmael (CompuPost), Monday, 9 December 2013 00:48 (ten years ago) link
chuck hayes is due 6m next year so it's poison both ways really
― Matt Armstrong, Monday, 9 December 2013 00:48 (ten years ago) link
the raptors are a seriously fucked up team
― le goon (J0rdan S.), Monday, 9 December 2013 00:51 (ten years ago) link
rudy has a 19 million dollar player option, he'd be an idiot to opt out
― k3vin k., Monday, 9 December 2013 00:54 (ten years ago) link
Can somebody make a case for Masai
What's he doing
― 乒乓, Monday, 9 December 2013 00:56 (ten years ago) link
Hahaha Thunder just passed the ball off teammate's head on consecutive passes.

in Toronto? What is he supposed to do, really? They have to take their lumps while he clears cap.
― Matt Armstrong, Monday, 9 December 2013 01:03 (ten years ago) link
getting picks for Bargnani was good
― Matt Armstrong, Monday, 9 December 2013 01:04 (ten years ago) link
remember last year when no one thought igoudala was gonna opt out?
rudy will opt out and get 4/48 or something. it's a no brainer. and there's no way he wants to spend a season and a half in sacramento.
― le goon (J0rdan S.), Monday, 9 December 2013 01:05 (ten years ago) link
i mean, in addition to the stuff with denver, partic the melo and iggy trades, he just dumped the contracts of barnita and gay ahead of supposedly one of the most loaded drafts ever. when you're a small-market GM you cant do much better than that

is sacramento a bad city or something? never been to cali idk
but if it's just because they're a bad team...no good team is paying him 12 a year. this is your life now, rudy gay

Yeah I understand but the trade didn't seem like it cleared that much cap, unless he knew for sure that Rudy was gonna take the option?

Iguodala is good tho
― Matt Armstrong, Monday, 9 December 2013 01:09 (ten years ago) link
monta ellis is also a player who had a huge option that most everyone thought he was gonna opt into but who left a shitty situation for more overall money and a better team
the kings have been the most depressing franchise in the nba for the last 10 years. rudy has made, what, $90 million or something in his career?
he's opting out of that deal
― le goon (J0rdan S.), Monday, 9 December 2013 01:12 (ten years ago) link
he would've stayed in toronto tho imo he was clearly invested in that situation

One explanation is that both were against great teams at tail ends of road back-to-backs. Either way rough watching Indy throwing the ball at the basket tonight.
― Call me Shitmael (CompuPost), Monday, 9 December 2013 02:13 (ten years ago) link
Masterful tweet btw
i wonder if w all the new nerd gms there will be more trades as they more accurately evaluate their own players instead of sentimentally hold onto them, i hope so trades are tite
― lag∞n, Monday, 9 December 2013 02:20 (ten years ago) link
I've had that same thought and as a fan of nba chaos I'm hoping that is the case
