comments on that sbnation article are absurd

Would I trade Griffin for Anthony? I think I would because Carmelo could slot right in at the PF with Jordan backing him defensively and CP3 consistently getting him easy shots.

yeah man just slot melo right in at pf shouldn't be a problem

The 'P' is a mystery (Clay), Tuesday, 17 December 2013 04:53 (ten years ago) link

he played great there last year!

lag∞n, Tuesday, 17 December 2013 04:57 (ten years ago) link

tho obvs defensively there could be some issues, jordan isnt exactly tyson chandler

lag∞n, Tuesday, 17 December 2013 04:58 (ten years ago) link

i'd sort of love melo as a smallball 4 for the clips, the problem is their weaknesses generally would be the same and they'd struggle against the spurs and grizzlies bigs

k3vin k., Tuesday, 17 December 2013 04:58 (ten years ago) link

kinda think melo is broken too idk if anyone could fully make him behave

lag∞n, Tuesday, 17 December 2013 04:59 (ten years ago) link

like hed play unselfish swing the ball take good shots then youre in a close playoff game and he just starts... dribbling

lag∞n, Tuesday, 17 December 2013 05:01 (ten years ago) link

melo having to guard an elite power forward pretty much every night in the west would be pretty great stuff

The 'P' is a mystery (Clay), Tuesday, 17 December 2013 05:01 (ten years ago) link

yeah it would be... problematic

lag∞n, Tuesday, 17 December 2013 05:08 (ten years ago) link

lol ryan hollins just chill man lol

k3vin k., Tuesday, 17 December 2013 05:08 (ten years ago) link

wow kobe's averaging 6.3 turnovers since he came back

The 'P' is a mystery (Clay), Tuesday, 17 December 2013 05:08 (ten years ago) link

but they would also have to guard melo so, anyway i would not do that trade

lag∞n, Tuesday, 17 December 2013 05:09 (ten years ago) link

....tony parker just airballed a FT

k3vin k., Tuesday, 17 December 2013 05:10 (ten years ago) link

i would if i were the knicks, what's blake locked in for, another 4 years? xp

The 'P' is a mystery (Clay), Tuesday, 17 December 2013 05:10 (ten years ago) link

yeah the knicks obvs do that deal no brainer

lag∞n, Tuesday, 17 December 2013 05:11 (ten years ago) link

i was speaking from the clippers pov if that was at all unclear

lag∞n, Tuesday, 17 December 2013 05:11 (ten years ago) link

I wouldn’t trade Melo for Griffing straight up, then you expect to throw Iman Shumpert in the deal? Whoever wrote this article is completely lost. Melo can score in any way he wants. Griffin’s success is predicated on having a an above average point guard, which the Knicks do not. Knicks already have enough problems scoring. Griffin is in his fourth season and his game is still the same. He’s a 60% FT shooter and doesn’t play defense, and you think that trading the scoring champ for that guy is a good idea? STOP IT.

is there a tumblr that just reposts knicks fan internet comments

wut

k3vin k., Tuesday, 17 December 2013 05:26 (ten years ago) link

the clips obv don't do that trade straight up if it's not clear, contracts aside even

k3vin k., Tuesday, 17 December 2013 05:27 (ten years ago) link

the funny thing to me about the bulls is that last year at the beginning of the season everyone was like "oh wow this team is just garbage, nate and bellini, jesus"

then those guys balled out, the bulls had a competent offense and then they both signed nice deals in the offseason

and now the bulls are actually completely untenable on offense with dudes like heinrich and dunleavy who look like they shouldn't be in the nba

le goon (J0rdan S.), Tuesday, 17 December 2013 05:30 (ten years ago) link

pistons now have road wins over the heat and pacers but i still think that team is kinda trash

le goon (J0rdan S.), Tuesday, 17 December 2013 05:31 (ten years ago) link

trash teams beat the heat every year

le goon (J0rdan S.), Tuesday, 17 December 2013 05:57 (ten years ago) link

is there a team that josh smith wouldn't make worse

maybe the knicks actually lol

The 'P' is a mystery (Clay), Tuesday, 17 December 2013 06:08 (ten years ago) link

melo 4 josh

le goon (J0rdan S.), Tuesday, 17 December 2013 06:10 (ten years ago) link

they're weirdly similar players maybe

The 'P' is a mystery (Clay), Tuesday, 17 December 2013 06:12 (ten years ago) link

Pistons can be competitive from game to game. When two of your starters are two of the streakiest shooters in the league in can click on occasion.

I was kinda interested to see them play before the season but they are pretty gross to watch.

They're very very good at certain things though, because of Drummond. So if your team is weak in those areas (e.g. defensive rebounding), they can be dangerous.

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 17 December 2013 08:36 (ten years ago) link

seems like something he might want to work on at some point.

brimstead, Tuesday, 17 December 2013 08:45 (ten years ago) link

im not seeing any games these days, but im happy for josh harrelson. i think hes an nba player and could help the right team.

moullet, Tuesday, 17 December 2013 09:03 (ten years ago) link

if u put the criteria to .40 fga, jason kidd is in, so ... idk. ricky is great.

moullet, Tuesday, 17 December 2013 09:03 (ten years ago) link

ricky is such a bad scorer idk i think he might not make it

lag∞n, Tuesday, 17 December 2013 13:38 (ten years ago) link

like jason kidd could make layups

Had a dream last night where the Trail Blazers ended up 9th in the West and missed the playoffs

But very specifically it was mentioned in my dream that they had a better record than the East 3rd seed ( don't recall which team it was in my dream)

they really should bump the width up by a foot or so- some guys (lebron) can barely fit their feet between the three line and the out of bounds line in the corners! dudes are just bigger all around for the most part than the days when tommy heinsohn was a burly ass power forward at barely 6'6
