Spottie, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:27 (ten years ago) link

was joe dumars just like "well we've got to sign somebody we have all this money, it'd be embarrassing not to spend it"

That's exactly it, and if they find a sucker for for a trade partner some day it might be worth it

good to see him back

Spottie, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:30 (ten years ago) link

sort of hate barbosa

one of the worst foul calls of all time on a point blank missed layup by one of the morris twins there

k3vin k., Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:32 (ten years ago) link

tonight's Plumlee-Pekovic matchup is sponsored by GNC

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:33 (ten years ago) link

eastern conference features epic first round battle between no. 1 pacers and no. 8 nets. lock the brackets now.

Daniel, Esq 2, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:36 (ten years ago) link

Pekovic really is a solid, decent defender. Big gap between him and Love there.

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:37 (ten years ago) link

the nyer piece on lurie from a few years ago is a total hatchet job and p amazing

yo i know right

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:37 (ten years ago) link

sort of hate barbosa

why? I mean he's not very good any more at all but he was a blast in the mid 00s with those suns teams.

Spottie, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:37 (ten years ago) link

the thing I always remember with Barbosa is that when he came out in the draft he wasn't really on anyone's radar but there was this talk of a "Barbosa tape" of his Brazilian games that was blowing everyone away

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:39 (ten years ago) link

wow dont think the nba was ready for that type of thing back then but now people are more open minded so itd prob be ok

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:40 (ten years ago) link

why don't we have more athlete sex tapes? There was that Trent Richardson tape that was supposedly out there...

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:41 (ten years ago) link

wow this john lurie nyer thing is maniacal

Clay, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:42 (ten years ago) link

its a good question like we know they all love to jet blow jays in front of each other and everything xp

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:43 (ten years ago) link

today the phrase "who wants to sex mutombo" passed through my mind for no particular reason

call all destroyer, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:55 (ten years ago) link

i hope the answer was "everyone"

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:56 (ten years ago) link

I sometimes suspect the nyer thing was a joke that lurie and his "enemy" were both in on, and that the writer may or may not have been in on

ya something about it feels very not right

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:58 (ten years ago) link

tho unfortunately i suspect the explanation is more mundane

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:59 (ten years ago) link

it def feels like these guys live in a slightly different reality than i do

Spottie, Thursday, 9 January 2014 04:19 (ten years ago) link

suns are all discombobulated on offense

call all destroyer, Thursday, 9 January 2014 04:51 (ten years ago) link

they aren't nearly as good when Bledsoe is out.

Spottie, Thursday, 9 January 2014 04:55 (ten years ago) link

oladipo just absolutely crushed lillard with a block on an attempted dunk

Clay, Thursday, 9 January 2014 05:09 (ten years ago) link

Those Scrappy Suns

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 9 January 2014 05:14 (ten years ago) link

k3vin k., Thursday, 9 January 2014 05:19 (ten years ago) link

hella clean

Spottie, Thursday, 9 January 2014 05:25 (ten years ago) link

warriors wouldve been the first team ever w/a 7-0 road trip if they won tonight

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 January 2014 05:29 (ten years ago) link

i'd say block of the year but lillard is such a crap finisher that it downgrades it slightly xp

Clay, Thursday, 9 January 2014 05:29 (ten years ago) link

warriors have played the most road games of any team this year

Spottie, Thursday, 9 January 2014 05:31 (ten years ago) link

Haralabos Voulgaris ‏@haralabob 24s
MIN's close game “randomness” is pretty much the other side of 2012 Dallas’s record in close games. Neither were / are random.

haha wow bob with the quant heterodoxy

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 January 2014 05:33 (ten years ago) link

Haralabos Voulgaris ‏@haralabob 7m
@PPPBasketball when a team that scores a lot in transition, and is poor (relatively speaking) in the halfcourt - close losses aren’t random

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 January 2014 05:36 (ten years ago) link

ouch

Spottie, Thursday, 9 January 2014 06:52 (ten years ago) link

he's increased his FT% by a grand total of .7% this year

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 9 January 2014 06:53 (ten years ago) link

i guess humphries really wanted to be on a poster

Game recognize game

, Thursday, 9 January 2014 11:37 (ten years ago) link

that question about players in their prime is actually pretty interesting

i might still roll the dice on the heat with 30 ppg wade, ray allen from like 8 years ago, rockets battier, max contract era rashard and, uh, greg oden as a college senior

le goon (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 9 January 2014 15:48 (ten years ago) link

and i guess lebron and bosh in their currents states

the nets would probably win. but so would the spurs.
