is steph changing his FT routine?

k3vin k., Friday, 27 May 2016 03:29 (eight years ago) link

I think d'antoni rockets aren't necessarily doomed but they need to acquire, among other things, a much more mobile center than dwight and I'm not sure who they get to fill that role

pat bev gonna be an all star next year

Spottie, Friday, 27 May 2016 15:46 (eight years ago) link

They're apparently interested in horford

Heez, Friday, 27 May 2016 18:32 (eight years ago) link

if diantoni can get harden to pass and move instead of dribble he cld easily be an mvp, horford wld be a p huge upgrade on dwight too

lag∞n, Friday, 27 May 2016 18:41 (eight years ago) link

Harden's a great passer I could see him buying in (or not idk)

Spottie, Friday, 27 May 2016 18:45 (eight years ago) link

he seems generally very buying adverse but maybe with all the criticism and losing he might be ready to try something

lag∞n, Friday, 27 May 2016 18:47 (eight years ago) link

if the main probs with my team are they don't play defense and they don't care i'm steering way clear of mike d. but that's just me.

blatt going back overseas to coach in turkey

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 31 May 2016 17:34 (eight years ago) link

kind of sad. a lot of smart ppl were saying he could be a great nba coach, needed the right situation, and would be a good hire for a young developing team (ie like the team that actually hired him) but i wonder w/ all the stories that came out if it would have been super difficult to get players' respect or attract free agents.

balls, Tuesday, 31 May 2016 18:41 (eight years ago) link

he prob would've been decent for the nets or magic, but the latter did better by getting vogel and the former going w/ one of bud's assistants (iirc?) was also a shockingly reasonable move for the prokhorov brain trust

if young slothrop don't trust ya i'm gon' rhyme ya (slothroprhymes), Tuesday, 31 May 2016 18:54 (eight years ago) link

yeah the nets have made some seemingly smart hires which makes me feel sad for those dudes cuz it's gonna be a few years before they're even in a year zero situation.

Craig Sager did 8 straight days of chemo while working the playoffs, didn't miss a game.

So apparently the Hawks and sixers are talking about a Teague/Noel swap

Heez, Thursday, 2 June 2016 22:03 (eight years ago) link

Horford in San Antonio looking more likely every day.

Thought this would be as ridiculous as the title suggests but makes at least an interesting point.

i like teague but this feels like a heist for the hawks

J0rdan S., Thursday, 2 June 2016 22:23 (eight years ago) link

yeah the sixers should be able to do way better than teague if they want to move noel

Horford in San Antonio looking more likely every day.

Is this the buzz in Atl? Haven't heard anything specific about Horford in sa.

6 god none the richer (m bison), Thursday, 2 June 2016 22:29 (eight years ago) link

REMEmber reading a story about it somewhere, but if there's word they're looking to bring in Noel it adds up.

tsrobodo, Thursday, 2 June 2016 22:33 (eight years ago) link

heard rumblings of the magic really trying to pony up for horford which i think would be intriguing for both sides

J0rdan S., Thursday, 2 June 2016 22:35 (eight years ago) link

and then shop vooch?

Spottie, Thursday, 2 June 2016 22:42 (eight years ago) link

austin rivers playing with ten stitches and one eye mostly closed in the final playoff game with the blazers probably upped his value by at least half a mil. he even finished a few nice drives in the second half.

a little too mature to be cute (Aimless), Thursday, 2 June 2016 22:48 (eight years ago) link

maybe you see if they can play together if not yeah he'd be a decent trade piece

J0rdan S., Thursday, 2 June 2016 22:55 (eight years ago) link

you can't really play them together and also play aaron gordon who i thought was supposed to be their Future

ciderpress, Thursday, 2 June 2016 23:43 (eight years ago) link

yeah right they'd have a bit of a glut there but most teams don't have the problem of having too many good players

J0rdan S., Friday, 3 June 2016 00:03 (eight years ago) link

The magic are kind of stacked but also not good which is an odd combo

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 3 June 2016 00:19 (eight years ago) link

I keep going back and forth on Elf Payton

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 3 June 2016 00:20 (eight years ago) link

I still don't really believe that Austin Rivers belongs in the NBA

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 3 June 2016 00:21 (eight years ago) link

al horford turns 30 tomorrow and he's already slowing down. i don't think anyone should be giving him a fat contract unless they're desperate to upgrade just for the next season or two - and that doesn't suit the magic's timeline.

micah, Friday, 3 June 2016 00:33 (eight years ago) link

celtics are still a good fit for that timeline
