New Wolves thread! The other day I met a guy in a Knicks Gallinari shirt and when I said my team was the Timberwolves I felt the first faint thrilling smudge of hipster guilt.
Rubio/JonesMartin/LeVineWiggins/Shabazz/BudingerTowns/Payne/Bjelica (I know zero about this guy but Euroleague MVP has to mean something, right?)Pek/Dieng
That's, like, a real NBA team, with a bench and everything! THIRTY WINS OR BUST

Expecting this thread to have exactly the same poster cast as 2010's 'We Go Howl In the Motherfuckin Paint' but approximately 100% less Darko content, which has to be a bonus.

R.I.P. Flip :(
2-0 - exciting!Towns looks completely amazing - being the best player on the floor at both ends in your second NBA game seems just completely impossibly sky's-the-limit fantastic for a 19y/o rookie. Wiggins looks kinda out of sorts so far - I'm not really sure what the point of the whole playing-him-at-the-2 thing is with Prince at the 3, because the other team can just guard him with either wing anyway? I guess it's good long-term? The Rubio/LaVine gap is just so huge - RR's been crazy good, LaVine still doesn't seem to have any PG-relevant NBA skills at all. There's a guy on CH who keeps pointing out that his stats are comfortably behind Gerald Green's at the equivalent stage, which feels kinda damning. Martin off the bench is kinda papering over the gaps a bit so far but I don't think this will work against real NBA teams.Bjelica seems pretty tall and European, is my impression.
Winning games seems super novel and fun, I could definitely get used to it.

wolves one of the more interesting teams moving forward, they probably still need some yrs and some breaks to keep things going in the right direction, but there's a lot to love here

Right now the most important player is probably Rubio but that says more about Lavine-at-PG than anything else. The last four games (which he's missed) have been super super rough.

Bjelica's been great - just a really convincing NBA starter, the sort of player who'd be a #4 option on a completely normal good team.

Lavine had a lot more to do with the win at Chicago than Rubio did tbf

afaics, the wolves are staying with a lot of the teams even when they are losing the game. with such a young roster that seems like a sign they'll be respectable in the mid-term future. KAT will def be a baller.
