I got to say this is pretty much a typical Bengals/Browns game. Fugly football and someone will win.

Andy Dalton has turned to crud though in the past month or so. He's making mistake throws left and right. I got to wonder if he has hurt his throwing hand or something.

While we have had a bunch of laughs on the Bucs behalf (very deservedly so), I have to wonder if they crawl back enough to have Greg Schiano keep his job for another season. The thing I have noticed is a lot of the ex-coach commentators (Billick & Gruden) and even Belichick seem to be kind of impressed by the dude as a coach or at least by what he did at Rutgers.

the freeman situation was difficult but there aren't too many ways schiano could've handled it worse. he pretty much singlehandedly turned it into a circus. he seems to have some talent as a coach on the field. maybe he will learn from what happened this season. i'll give him this, i can't believe that he has got this team playing. that seems like a big deal after the way things started.

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 17 November 2013 20:33 (ten years ago) link

i think the bengals have 4 first downs in this game

Have you guys already laughed/boggled at Pittsburgh's uniforms? I got a late start today.

guitar is coffee (DJP), Sunday, 17 November 2013 21:33 (ten years ago) link

steeler uniforms are just ridiculous

they ought to mix up hideous throwbacks and additional neon highlighter accessories weeks (not just pink)

also did calvin johnson have 0 catches in the second half and STILL finish with 179 yards and 2 TDs? did i read that right?

seriously, THIS GUY (daria-g), Sunday, 17 November 2013 21:33 (ten years ago) link

the stripeyness is kind of fascinating when all the linemen are crouched down in a row

i didn't know about the uniforms until after the washington/philly game ended

"they ought to mix up hideous throwbacks and additional neon highlighter accessories weeks (not just pink)"

Make it so! The Carolina Panthers should invent an 80s throwback and get all Zubas out in their uniform. It's obvious they still dig the style on the logo.

Kubiak benching Keenum is unbelievable. Texans fiasco of a season reaches new depths.

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 17 November 2013 22:21 (ten years ago) link

carolina panthers need some official JNCO jorts to go with that logo
zubaz is for the bills and the gronkowskis

if i were the type to throw theme parties (or any kind of parties).. or better yet if i owned a sports bar, i would have a costume party where everyone has to dress as a throwback NFL fan, team + era of your choice

just noticed that during the local news break at halftime, the DC fox affiliate had a brief update on the loss by "washington's football team" and "washington's team" and didn't say the name of the team at all

rivers was told by a romany fortune teller that if he ever throws the ball away his first born will die. i assume.

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 17 November 2013 23:59 (ten years ago) link

So we can't beat the Bucs but we beat the Chargers. I'll take it.

Miami's defense is overrated in that they give up a lot of big plays, but the secondary had a good game today. Also, despite my hatred of Mike Sherman, the decision to run most running plays out of the gun with that makeshift line was a solid decision.

Also, the Cards are 6-4! wow!

Tannehill had a very nice day today as well.
