disappointed "pela quarta vez" doesn't mean "hair of quarterback"

goole, Tuesday, 3 February 2015 15:37 (nine years ago) link

he has a super bowl cut

IN BUTLER’S WORDS “I saw Wilson looking over there. He kept his head still and just looked over there, so that gave me a clue. And the stacked receivers; I just knew they were going to throw. I don’t know how I knew. I just knew. I just beat him to the point and caught the ball.”

Pats cheated somehow

using psychic rookies no fair

lag∞n, Tuesday, 3 February 2015 18:43 (nine years ago) link

it is not equal, but it's fair

they cheated by running that play in practice

Wilson can't even claim that the intercepted football wasn't his. It has his name on it.

that simulation looks more like just a depiction of the moment in 3D graphics

Roberto Spiralli, Tuesday, 3 February 2015 20:22 (nine years ago) link

looks like someone just pushed kornheiser out onto the patio in his wheelchair, there's probably a heavy blanket over his legs to keep him warm

Pete Carroll collapsed the ball's wavefunction into the wrong state because he was not thinking positively

not gonna lie i went to a yin yoga class early sunday and the teacher asked us to set an intention for our practice and i was like okay.. football gods.. help us out today

sorry about that pete carroll! namaste

Deadspin posted this, but I agree with their assessment that it's the best video yet for analyzing Butler's pick of the pass. Dude made a b-line for the spot where it was going.

elouise (anky), Wednesday, 4 February 2015 07:10 (nine years ago) link

sick day up in here so i was rewatching the 4th quarter, one thing that seemed to go somewhat unnoticed at the time was that seattle blew two timeouts on their final drive for absolutely no good reason--first one when the play clock ran down and the game clock was stopped, second one after the kearse catch when the only thing they should have been doing was running up to the l.o.s. to get a play off.

This made me realize for the first time that there are likely american football fans not from/living in america. Never really had any reason to think about the existence of international fans before. Kinda interested in learning more about them now.

Evan, Wednesday, 4 February 2015 20:04 (nine years ago) link

The NFL plays games in London every year. Most of the attendees are international.

falcons fake crowd noise scandal is not really grabbing the attention of the media for some reason. as someone pointed out, the real story is that the falcons defense over the last couple years may actually have been even worse than we realized.

Roberto Spiralli, Wednesday, 4 February 2015 20:18 (nine years ago) link

^this guy was an unamerican american football fan before he moved to america

lag∞n, Wednesday, 4 February 2015 20:21 (nine years ago) link

sounds like the browns are going to get actual discipline for their texting scandal too lol

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 4 February 2015 20:23 (nine years ago) link

xxp the colts did that too, or were alleged to, a while back, but i don't think there was that big an outcry over it - i mean, it's hysterical and lame, but who cares

slothroprhymes, Wednesday, 4 February 2015 20:25 (nine years ago) link

dunno if the Vikings do this but I have buddies in Minnesota who go to the games and are 100% convinced they do

Abstinence Hawk (frogbs), Wednesday, 4 February 2015 20:27 (nine years ago) link

there was a little but of fuss when indy were accused because they were good at the time but iirc they were exonerated by the nfl and it was quickly rug swept. falx might still be same of course

Roberto Spiralli, Wednesday, 4 February 2015 20:32 (nine years ago) link

browns thing is weird, are they really going to lose a draft pick?

Roberto Spiralli, Wednesday, 4 February 2015 20:36 (nine years ago) link

indy also jacked up the temperature in the rca dome in the second half of the 2006 afc championship game, god what a hateful team.

I mean it's the Browns, did they ever really *have* the pick

Hammer Smashed Bagels, Wednesday, 4 February 2015 22:10 (nine years ago) link

indy also freed Willie Horton iirc

the call was bad bc you have to know the Pats will cheat there

butler's vision = a secret contact lens that showed him the play before the snap

Wilson was trying to spike the ball but he hit the wrong button on the controller

Hammer Smashed Bagels, Wednesday, 4 February 2015 23:19 (nine years ago) link

the fake-spike-throw-deep play would have been good in that situation
