It does seem really weird that the new crop of moderators seems to think that "I love everything" = "I love everything EXCEPT topics of a sexual nature".

those threads make me uncomfortable because i am repressed, and there is a board on which they are explicitly on topic.

pretty much the only board which people ignore and use ILE instead is ILF, and that's just because the film crew are sociopaths. Nothing wrong with ILTMI.

actually there is little cricket discussion on ILC but that is because ILC has actually become better than cricket o_O

If there are threads called "At what age did you lose your virginity?" or "How many sex partners have you had?", you should probably know sort of discussion they contain, so don't click on them. The argument that these threads make people uncomfortable is pretty weird, because no one's forcing anyone to read them. Personally, I don't much care for sports, but I still don't think all sports thread should be banished to a special "I Love Sports" board. I think it's good that ILE has a wide variety of different thread topics at any time.

ILX is on tenterhooks...how long before KBP bans the other 4 people who post to his board? And then prances about, king of the castle style, posting about Adelaide's great sporting teams?

The team I support in Aussie Rules is based in Melbourne, so you are WAY OFF.

People should probably be able to put their icky threads where they like, for the most part, but it's not exactly surprising that we get a run on "lol sex" polls and somebody decides to put them in the special cupboard that was built for them.

The board is not called "I Love Sex" but "I Love TMI". It was supposed to be a board for the sort of discussion that many people consider too icky/graphic/personal, not a board for all sex-related threads, no matter how innocent/nonpersonal/nongraphic they are.

Just to make it clear, I have nothing against the mods, and so far there's only been a handful of thread relocations. I'm merely hoping this doesn't become a new policy that covers all sex-related threads.

Well, at the moment there's a thread called "Jeremiah Birthday Sex" in ILM, should that be moved to ILTMI too because it has the word "sex"?

I would assume that people who find all sex threads icky/graphic/personal are wise enough not to read them.

Mods would probably be more likely to move threads about American politics to an I Love Elections/I Love Politics board if one existed. Since one doesn't exist, there isn't any point to the hypothetical question.

I don't know why this is generating so much conversation considering the poster who created the thread and the moderator who moved it have both posted stating that they see eye to eye on what happened.
