anyone want to buy a pair from me? i bought them a while back but they are just not cut slim enough for my tastes. they are "Outlier OG Pant Winterwear Dry Gray" in size 29. :/

i posted a link to outlier that wasn't clickable

American Fear of Pranksterism (Ed), Thursday, 19 November 2009 21:01 (fourteen years ago) link

bitter about emo (Hunt3r), Thursday, 19 November 2009 21:02 (fourteen years ago) link

size 29 and they aren't slim enough, yes. i guess none of you are slim enough either ;)

la monte jung (cutty), Thursday, 19 November 2009 21:03 (fourteen years ago) link

man i think even if i cut fat like crazy 29 would be too small for where i wear jeans, and i'm 5'7"

what does your waist look like

la monte jung (cutty), Thursday, 19 November 2009 21:37 (fourteen years ago) link

big? i mean, that pic of me on the cx thread is during a not really lean period at a little over 160 lbs, but my middle is wide.

bitter about emo (Hunt3r), Thursday, 19 November 2009 21:54 (fourteen years ago) link

also if we're talking actual WAIST then i suppose i'm slimmer. i wear jeans at my hips usually and they're loose at 31"

itdn put butt in the display name (gbx), Thursday, 19 November 2009 21:57 (fourteen years ago) link

i was making a WDYWLL joke! what i really want is a pic of am0n on bike.

but ed (from appearance) seems you got tree trunk legs that can power in the big ring up small mountains. imo.

If Liberty Avenue counts as a small mountain, then yes.

38"... that's what i get for being an mtb'er and not a roadie.

33" here. Also child-bearing hips and not insubstantial booty. Works quite well in lycra :)

Thxs Wilter for fixing my pic, very nice of you.

I have a couple of these classix road bikes from my racing days (Cat 2 on road and track, hello Cutty, hello Kissena club Al Toefield days, hello Kissena velodrome when it had huge holes all over and was like a moonscape). I messengered full time for 3 years b4 stopping to work at Habitat.

Wilter I don't feel love for ur bike but if anyone feels love for the classic late 70's early 80's Italian racer let me know. Freewheels and all. I have cancer. Someone is going to get them, better an aficianado than the Salvation Army, if you know what I mean. For Campy's sake :)

PS you're not going to get them right away. I might still ride them a little bit, though the area where I live SUCKS for a quiet ride with hills every which way.

PS. I have a whole box of awesome vintage equipment, Campy record hi-flange track hubs (36 hole unfortunately). Chainrings. BINDA straps looking for a good non-hipster home. Get in touch if you're interested. I love ILX ppl.

The masi looks beautiful as does naus's blurry bike. More and more I think my next bike would be a really thin tubed classic racer.

American Fear of Pranksterism (Ed), Sunday, 6 December 2009 14:44 (fourteen years ago) link

I don't know him. I knew a lot of racers and messengers tho, from back in the day. Hincapie was in my club and we raced together frequently because women and juniors did. George and his bro Richard. He had the pro tips even then, baby pro. Some hard-core bike riders in that group. Me and one of them did a Nat Geo special, I wish I could get a decent copy of it. They filmed the same thing over and over until I just wished I was riding for money instead of the stupid documentary. I finally hit a pedestrian and did a fair endo, that's what they were looking for. I swore to never do that again though that Spike Lee guy was shadowing me and asking me to. Not any other girl messengers at that time, at least not in the winter. There was a one-eyed (had 2 but could only see out of 1 ) racer 3d le0n4rd who was like a street fighter in a road race. (Now I get sued for libel he is prob. an atty, you will have to defend me.)

You don't want to ride next to any one-eyed racers, they can't see you 2 good.

Uh we are on the wrong thread: WDYBLL. Not BIKE GEEZER WDYD.

I have a not-as-nice Guerciotti a little more modern. Have to get a new pic sharing account, my husb. has filled ours up w/pics of his recently-died mom. Christ. Will do ASAP and sorry for OT.
