There's just a specific look that I'm ready for people to move on from, and it looks kinda like this:

but replace flip flops with black converse or topsiders or something

It's just time for change!

"[insert name of douchey friend] just tweeted that to me."

Tweet/twat/twoot/twote...just the use of the word 'twitter' in a sentence is so awkward and irritating it makes me want to throw punches. I don't hate Twitter...I just hate the tweeting twats who talk about it.

hulk would smash (Trayce), Wednesday, 11 November 2009 04:26 (fourteen years ago) link

eh i mean say what you want about the world we live in but messaged isn't really specific enough in a lot of situations

and 46.) "Mad Men" becoming the universal reference point for anything mid-century modernist.

i watched a short film online that was filmed in the streets of manhattan in the late '70s. one of the commenters was like "omg it's all so mad men." no. no, it's not.

55) talking about urban planning with people

being part of that field, it's something i often end up talking about w/ people whether i feel like it or not. i don't mind so much except when they're all "WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO FIX TRAFFIC" -- i want to say "when you stop driving so much."

idk what number we're at but here's a serious entry:

people complaining about socialism without a concept of what socialism actually entails

fel (latebloomer), Wednesday, 11 November 2009 05:10 (fourteen years ago) link

it's just... it works both ways. "fixing traffic" often means cultivating multimodal transportation (cars/buses/trains/complete streets), but multimodal transportation also needs support from the people if it's going to get any funding/political traction. if you use the roadways, you contribute to traffic. so think about your own part in all of it.

same here! i don't really want to drive, but i'm finally giving in and getting my license because i'm tired of people treating me like i'm the town drunk because i ride the bus.
