just file this under "foodie" imo. nothing wrong with the food - people have been eating it for decades - everything wrong with food trends and the people who propagate them.

i love any thread that allows me to show my true curmudgeonly ways, so here are mine:

Add to that the fact that these self-proclaimed DJs often play music that can't be beatmatched, so they are basically just crossfading new age, krautrock, or whatever the latest bargain bin music fad is) in front of an audience of 20 people and walking around claiming to all their friends that they are a DJ.

I wish I lived in a metropolitan area. I would go to these bars with DJs playing bargain bin music. It sounds funny.

I had a friend who grew a beard over the summer between eighth grade and ninth. We were awed. I bet all the young dudes with beards have all the same excuses for wearing beards that you have.

You mean in 1985? The CDs were $25? Or the records? And that's not ten years ago. I guess I should clarify by saying that I'm talking about records on labels that I tended to buy from ten years ago (Matador, T&G, Merge, &c.).
