Hey I actually bought Dookie for the first time last year too, out of some weird pop culture completist urge, though I never liked Green Day much. The first two albums as well. I think I"ll just burn 'em and trade 'em eventually.

People only say they sound like JD because of the singer's voice, or because it doesn't fit the mould of whatever sub-metal hip-hop hybrid is cool these days, or because they think JD comparisons will sell more CD's.
Someone upthread said Interpol weren't bad enough to be hated properly and I think that's true.

ESPECIALLY THIS CUNT
Jon's got his own issues, sure, but he's right on about Interpol.

Ooooh... "mysterious." Having had the privileged of having listened to Interpol albums I find that really is the best word to describe that tripe.
Paul's voice/singing style is constantly compared to that of the late and iconic Ian Curtis, quite a compliment don't you think?
Except when he's being called out for being unoriginal. Way to take it back, official bio writer!

Samuel Fogarino on Daniel, “He’s the assigned dedicated worrier for the band. He’s the most motivated person I have ever met in my whole life. That nervous energy has a severe output.”
Don’t be fooled by Daniel’s shyness because he can definitely rock out and sing lovely. He is sincere when you talk to him and interested in what you have to say, probably one of the nicest musicians you could ever meet and the only member of the band who doesn’t smoke!

I think it is ridiculous that so many people talk about them being well dressed. And you think the shit they were is expensive? I don't know, I haven't seen them in a while, but just because someone is wearing a jacket, doesn't mean that they are well dressed or that they spent a lot of money. You can find a black jacket for $.99 at a thrift store. I think they look like they are playing dress up in a poor grandfather's closet.― Magic City (ano ano), Wednesday, March 31, 2004 11:48 AM (10 years ago) Bookmark Flag Post Permalink

It's one of those ~deep mysteries of life~, isn't it?
How some guys can put on a £.99p jacket or a £2000 suit, and look like... Interpol.
And yet *you* could put the same clothes, and just look like a guy in a cheap suit.
Masculine beauty, how does it work. I dunno; ~ItsAMystery.gif~
