part of the problem is that my hair just grows really far down on my neck when i let it--like to the adam's apple and beyond.

hm, yeah, my neckbeard is semi-manageable.

maybe i should just shave the face and leave the neck nice and lush?

I got one of the Norelco beard-trimmers as a Christmas gift a few years ago. It was awesome for the three times I used it but I eventually went back to using my Oster clippers with a #1 guard.

I know, right?* I have fairly thick beard growth, and I shave 2-3 times a week.

if i use a razor, it's impossible to do anything but have a clearly demarcated line between the shaved and bearded portion of the face/neck.

untrue dude, if you run a sharp razor very lightly over the beard without pressing you can thin down a layer no problem.

gotta say i kinda miss shaving, i liked the ritual and process of it.

Probably gonna ditch the beard when it warms up this summer but I do not miss shaving.

i have the worst beard growth and therefore have to shave every day or two. envy all u guys

Only thing I really don't like honestly is trying to eat ice cream and stuff with it. I'm such a mess. And also I guess I wish mine wasn't so red but c'est la vie.

It makes swimming in the ocean...neat.

For serious. When it's warmer, I'll buzz it down to a barely-perceptible stubble, but I haven't for-real shaved my face in years. Hate it.

Beard hair has no effect on my overall comfort when it comes to temperature. You guys don't shave your head in the summer too, do you?

Who here uses a beard oil? Do you recommend it? Would like to soften and de-pube-ify my beard.

i have never used beard oil

Beard oil is ok for cooking but I wouldn't drizzle it on a salad
