"ICE CREAM"

Wait, did I meantion this was just white block stickers crooked on a tint-windowed minivan driven by an old man? Because that's kind of important.

There's this outdoor/trekking/camping chain of stores over here in Belgium that's called A.S. Adventure : http://www.asadventure.com

I can't help reading the name as "a sad venture" every time I see one of their stores or advertisements.

StanM, Wednesday, 9 March 2011 19:53 (thirteen years ago) link

Oh, and it's not intentional either: the A.S. stands for "American Stockhouse" = the store they started with originally.

I used to pass this place whenever I drove to Montreal, Quebec, Canada, visible from an elevated section of Autoroute 40:

For years I figured that must mean something in French, but had no idea what. Evidently, they sold multilith printing presses made by A B Dick Co.

I'm saddened to learn they went out of business in 2006 and the building no longer stands.

Oops I miseed S1ocki's post who already noted this one. But there's the pic....

There's a local plumbing business named (i assume) for its founder, John Flood. I cannot think of a worse name for a plumber than John Flood.

There must be some good company names around here but can't think of them at this moment...

er, no, if I'd been thinking of the capitol building (rather than D.C. in general), I would have used the word "capitol"
