it does, but "we can have fun/let our nuts hang by the water" is quality

gross rainbow of haerosmith (underrated aerosmith albums I have loved), Sunday, 5 September 2010 14:59 (thirteen years ago) link

haha, ok, that's pretty great. I wouldn't give up "Steal My Sunshine" for it but today's teens need a feel-good anthem.

I like how many long stretches of it actually discuss really innocuous fun, so it's not like the momentary lapses into profanity and drugs aren't corny punchlines like "oh ha, he set it up talking about hot dogs and roller coasters and the last line of the verse was about fucking" - - you just get the sense that grilling cheeseburgers actually is as important to Juggalo Island as smoking spliffs with cops.

er, "aren't" should be "are" up there

Doctor Casino, Sunday, 5 September 2010 15:42 (thirteen years ago) link

I'm OK with this as long as the next video has more animation and fewer Juggalos.

I feel the exact opposite of that. In fact, I wish the next video wouldn't even include ICP themselves, just juggalos. And no ICP music either. Just interviews with them, maybe a tour of their house in Hazel Park. That'd be my favorite ICP video ever.

I think the pelican line is great, of course, but "Crows, ghosts, the midnight coast, the wonders of the world, mysteries the most!" gets my vote because... ghosts? Also, there is a matching ghost in the video, which makes it even better. And then also, crows? Of all of the miraculous birds out there, he picked crows?

was thinking about this song, and this post, like two days ago in the backyard while marveling at how interesting the morning-glory looked up close.
