Why do they make Madden worse every year?

I hate the NFL. Jesus, just let us play with the old teams for fucks sake. You get 250 ole tyme players but then you have fill out your roster with "generic" players. I guess I don't care about the team names- you can probably edit those but I want thee ole oufits and Gene Hickerson pulling guard for Leroy Kelly. Also, I want this for the original xbox.

This outrage needs to be taken to the highest court in the land.

I don't even care if it's the actual player names, can't they at least give them NAMES.

what pisses me off abt the historical teams on madden is that the guys dont even have the corresponding jersey numbers! at least give us that much man :'(

Oh well, I bought it (and a 360) anyway.

I still think John Madden Football for the 3DO is the best version of Madden ever, with Madden NFL 94 for the Sega Genesis a close second. What say you?

I bought the wii version, which I guess is technically the gayest version.

forks, how do you use those ninja controllers for Madden? Do you drop back in your living room?

It's actually really ingenious and mucho rad.
you pick out your receiver by pressing the direction on the d pad on the wii controller and then "throwing" the ball that direction.
You catch by throwing up both hands at the same time.
Sharp push to the right with right hand makes back stiff arm.

Favorite Madden is probably one of the 2002-2005ish XBox Maddens - some years the dynasty mode was better than others (there were a couple of years where new players/drafts were completely screwed - players coming with injury ratings in the single digits and HBs with speed in the 60s, etc).

I had a blast with Super Nintendo Madden (93 or 94 or something). There was an actual running game.

oh man, madden 93 on SNES was my first ever, and one of my first games period. that was the shit~

So far I am really enjoying the new one. Certainly taking some getting used to, but it's nice that they changed stuff up compared to Madden 06 PS2.

EA getting exclusive license for NFL players was really one of the worst things to ever happen to video games.
