I feel... terrible this morning.

mmm.

cozen (Cozen), Sunday, 7 March 2004 17:46 (twenty years ago) link

b-but it's this afternoon. you should be feeling better.

Ken, I apologise I missed you yet again. please don't take it personally :)

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 7 March 2004 18:43 (twenty years ago) link

we think we saw PJ, dancing in the captain's rest, last night but we were too intimidated/scared/terrified/laughy to approach.

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 7 March 2004 18:46 (twenty years ago) link

I was more scared of the 'standing in line to see the show tonight' guy. I didn't know Godzilla and King Kong had had a kid together.

Ally C (Ally C), Sunday, 7 March 2004 19:22 (twenty years ago) link

you are the man who saw the man who saw the man who saw the man who saw the man who saw the man who saw the bear.

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 7 March 2004 19:26 (twenty years ago) link

Are we going to see Une Femme est Une Femme tonicht?

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 7 March 2004 19:28 (twenty years ago) link

I think you mean "the nicht."

aye, we are.

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 7 March 2004 19:32 (twenty years ago) link

8:30 PM

feel free to come around, from now on. asshoppers, etc.

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 7 March 2004 19:33 (twenty years ago) link

My ass shall hop along.

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 7 March 2004 19:35 (twenty years ago) link

mine won't. it will be defending our pub quiz title. feel free to remind cook on my behalf that his team won't be winning anything this season, however.

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 7 March 2004 19:38 (twenty years ago) link

the quiz season hasn't begun, in my eyes.

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 7 March 2004 19:39 (twenty years ago) link

Ken came out this afternoon and played a blinder in goal - second only to the stray German (Willie) we picked up on the lowlands of Primrose Hill as Most Valuable Player; a testament to the restorative powers of Red Bull, surely.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Sunday, 7 March 2004 22:50 (twenty years ago) link

I stayed in and watched it on video. I'm still pretty ill.

cozen (Cozen), Sunday, 7 March 2004 22:51 (twenty years ago) link

you watched ken on primrose hill on video?

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 7 March 2004 23:46 (twenty years ago) link

He's very ill.

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 7 March 2004 23:49 (twenty years ago) link

no wonder

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 7 March 2004 23:51 (twenty years ago) link

Cozen - the cheeky little kid in the shop who asked for a sexier book reminded me of you for some reason.

I realised that it wasn't the film I thought it was. I was thinking of Two or Three Things I Know About Her. Is that about an airport?

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 7 March 2004 23:52 (twenty years ago) link

because you think I am cheeky?

cozen (Cozen), Sunday, 7 March 2004 23:53 (twenty years ago) link

There was something in his eye.

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 7 March 2004 23:55 (twenty years ago) link

Tears of sorrow?

Madchen (Madchen), Tuesday, 9 March 2004 09:17 (twenty years ago) link

and in his ear.

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 9 March 2004 11:44 (twenty years ago) link

earwax of sorrow?

Sorry I didn't make it to the Captain's Log, I was suffering from severe lower back pain and it was a long way. I didn't see any of the messages here otherwise I could have texted Ken. I will just have to wait to get on the RJG/N Friendster axis :-(

Admittedly I might have made more of an effort if I'd known our Woking correspondent was going.

Ken, I will probably see you at one of our London events.

PJ Miller (PJ Miller), Tuesday, 9 March 2004 19:21 (twenty years ago) link

ears are the doorbells of the soul!!!!!!

hope to see you, next time, PJ.

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 9 March 2004 19:28 (twenty years ago) link

I think I tried glasgow too much.

cozen (Cozen), Tuesday, 9 March 2004 20:17 (twenty years ago) link

Hey, Dick -- any sign of that capo?

the ... pinefox, Tuesday, 9 March 2004 22:30 (twenty years ago) link

Is this a luddite stand against underscores?

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 9 March 2004 22:33 (twenty years ago) link

hope to see you next time ailsa and pjmiller! cozen given the fact that i didn't see you all last weekend despite having walked/driven through half of glasgow's westend and city centre it's clear that you're not trying glasgow enough!

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 9 March 2004 23:11 (twenty years ago) link

No. It is a way of emphasizing, by means of *withholding* and *suspense*, the name of a pop group, or two, because for once that is pertinent to what I am asking about.

I still want Dick's answer.

the bluefox, Wednesday, 10 March 2004 13:40 (twenty years ago) link

...to the vagina monologue?

ken c (ken c), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 17:34 (twenty years ago) link

TRY AGAIN

no capo, PF. we all want capo.

RJG (RJG), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 17:43 (twenty years ago) link

I'm looking to try some more glasgow.

what you got glasgow?

cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 19:51 (twenty years ago) link

That sounds like something Gary Coleman would say.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 19:56 (twenty years ago) link

RJG: you do?

Could you give me a view, sincerely, on what you think happened to that capo? You must agree that it did not leave your flat. Except that it did. Or did it? I just don't get it.

Please let me have the official Renfrew theory on this once pressing issue as it now stands.

Also, I think I need a new capo.

the blissfox, Wednesday, 10 March 2004 19:59 (twenty years ago) link

It's not even possible that COZEN took it. Is it?

I think we were using it the day after he came round and in. And played McCartney and post-rock.

the bluefox, Wednesday, 10 March 2004 19:59 (twenty years ago) link

I have my own schub capo thankyouverymuch, the pinefox.

cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 20:00 (twenty years ago) link

was it always yours?

as I say, PF, we have had no luck in locating your capo or, indeed, the capo we already had, in the flat. I don't think it left the flat. unless cozen answers "no." we will keep looking.

: /

RJG (RJG), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 20:42 (twenty years ago) link

I have two capos (one of those horrible canvas-band deals, along with the 'bronze' schub). they're all mine, though.

cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 20:49 (twenty years ago) link

all?

the bluefox, Wednesday, 10 March 2004 21:13 (twenty years ago) link

(I think he has a problem)

RJG (RJG), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 21:16 (twenty years ago) link

you can't call two all?

cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 21:16 (twenty years ago) link

yes.

the bluefox, Wednesday, 10 March 2004 21:19 (twenty years ago) link

RJG -- do you think Cozen will say 'no'?

the byrdfox, Wednesday, 10 March 2004 21:19 (twenty years ago) link

O!

cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 21:19 (twenty years ago) link

Cozen -- do you think that RJG is using my capo and not telling me?
