hearing some: Appliance, Silver Bullit/Citizen Bird, Death in Vegas. Bit looser, fizzier, bubblier than all these though. Liking it quite a bit.

I forgot about Appliance. But then I never really liked them even though they should've pushed all my buttons. I was not quite sure whether this might be in the same category or not, but every so often it loosens up - current case in point: the rockout finale of "Pockets" - and I think, yes, this-band-is-awesome.
But if people find this is not pushing their Finnish kraut buttons sufficiently, check out Shogun Kunitoki instead (only if you'd like it more ramshackle, more live, more analogue, less dancey)

FIIINALLY picked up the CD which was, as I assumed, $17 because, I am assuming, it's an import and hasn't received stateside release. The last 3 minutes of "Pockets" is killllllin me!!

if theyll get rid of the 80's goth influence - they'd be better.
― Zeno, Saturday, 11 September 2010 19:44 (thirteen years ago) link
listening right now - there's definitely something rad about it - thought it'd just be str8-up kraut but there's a cool pop vibe - Mehu Moments and Labirynth especially kickin' - second half to look forward to

Pockets is great fun too!
Not a fantastic album, but an enjoyable one - it's also exactly the right length.

I'd only heard "18 Hours of Love" before now, but I'm finally listening to the whole thing and I'M IN LOVE.

I had to see Serena-Maneesh once and it was kind of a trainwreck. But Psychic Ills opened so it was all good.

Optimo Espacio remix of "18 Hours (Of Love)" is pretty epic, as can be heard on Ivan Smagghe's terrific RA Podcast.
