have any more famous Ninas arrived on the scene since this thread was started nearly 12 years ago? is Nina Power famous? as famous as former Metro film reviewer Nina Caplan, I suppose?

Nina Brown is not your typical guru, healer or teacher. In fact, she rejects those terms in favor of “permission granter.”

Ah, I should have thought of Nina Conti, I'd forgotten that she's Tom Conti's daughter as well. I think that Nina Conti being Tom Conti's daughter is one of those facts I'm going to spend the rest of my life forgetting and re-learing.
Is the Nina Caplan who writes about booze for the New Statesman the same Nina Caplan who used to review films in the Metro? Are either of them the same Nina Caplan that N Dastoor went to school with?

I was going to post this to the 'Photos taken of famous people together' thread but it isn't a photo- Nina Hagen and Angela Merkel as guests on German TV show (I think it's from the early 90s?)

I'm surprised there aren't more pop songs that use the name Nina, it is a very euphonious name.'Nina, Pretty Ballerina' by ABBA, 'Lazy Nina' by Greg Phillinganes, I can't think of may more. There is a song on Ed Sheeran's new album called 'Nina' but it's no good at all.

Ed Sheeran's Nina song is about another post-2002 famous Nina called Nina Nesbitt, I hadn't heard of her before today but she seems very zeitgeisty, as well as the Sheeran connection she has a song called 'Selfies' and she is Scottish

for a second I thought this thread was about famous ninjas
― odd proggy geezer (Moodles), Monday, 15 September 2014 23:12 (nine years ago) link
if you put 'Nina the ninja' into google you get a video of a 12 yr old girl waiving a cat around to the tune of a song, the cat doesn't seem that into it

it's probably not as good as that song but Jens Lekman has 'A Postcard to Nina'
