For years I figured that must mean something in French, but had no idea what. Evidently, they sold multilith printing presses made by A B Dick Co.
I'm saddened to learn they went out of business in 2006 and the building no longer stands.

There's a local plumbing business named (i assume) for its founder, John Flood. I cannot think of a worse name for a plumber than John Flood.
