which of these musical biopics currently in development would you most like to see

There was a Keith Moon biopic planned some years ago. Was it dropped? Because if there's one biopic I'd love to see, it would be Keith Moon.

It definitely would've made a great movie, but it was in development for nearly 10 years, and Daltrey never found a decent script, so he essentially killed the project.

I'm kind of into a Marvin Gaye film based around him hanging out in Belgium.

Marvin Gaye one would certainly be full of incident. I suspect it'd be really really depressing though.

Actually, he initiated the project, and was one of the producers. He definitely wanted to make sure that a sub-par Moon movie never got made, though. But interviews from around 8-10 years ago show him really excited about Mike Myers signing on.

for some bizarre reason, Mark Ruffalo in The Kids Are All Right got me thinking he could do a Neil Diamond 70s biopic. don't know if i'd want to see it though ;)

Myers has also been older than Moon was when he died since about 1994, which is always annoying/distracting in biopics

I could almost see Myers as Moon circa '77-'78. But Schwartzman has the advantage of a) looking like Moon, and b) being a drummer.
