Anyway it's almost summer here and so the album's being very good to me. It's just a bit frustrating that the album features inferior takes because the whole point of Escort is their mindbogglingly great execution.

ayo, just saw these dudes live and free at an outdoor concert at the mtl jazz festival. it was crazy! like 50,000 people in the audience, no way they've ever played a show that big. and they were loving it (and the singer spoke very fluent french! she was awesome in ever other way too). they played, in addition to their hits, 'there but for the grace of god,' 'miss broadway,' some gino soccio and even 'le cactus' by jacques dutronc. so good!
