I dunno, lots of "cool" things like house music and indie and IT and hip hop went from "quite big" to "the actual mainstream now".

House and indie were more mainstream in the early 90s than the late 90s.

Girls in cargo pants + baby tees = worst EVER. I wore them all the time, of course.

I remember thinking back in the 90s that the clothes were a big improvement over the 80s. They seemed so basic and straightforward, timeless even. I thought that they would never look ugly or out-of-style.

Oh, how wrong I was...

Still haven't seen much difference here from the oughts. Dawson's = OC,etc. X-Files = Lost (or whatever.) Funny clothes = Funny clothes. Hyped NYC rappers = Hyped Southern Rappers. Bush = Nickleback. Kids = Havoc. '00s is just the '90s continued.

You could do that for every decade, mulla. That individual shows/trends fit into archetypes doesn't make them any less 'of their time.'

Havoc went straight to DVD and the only people who saw it were fans of Harlan County USA or wanted to see Anne Hathaway's boobs. In no way the same thing as Kids.

The Most 90s Thing That Could Ever Exist

this feel like a definitive moment in 'Cool Britannia' awfulness, exemplary in the way it manages to take things that had been vibrant and charming in previous decades (The Avengers, Suggs) and transmute them into objectionable garbage

Product Description
'Big Breakfast' luminary Johnny Vaughan presents this compilation of brawls, tiffs and fisticuffs from the world of television and sport. From punch-ups on the football pitch to half-hearted disagreements (which Johnny wittilly terms 'a case of the handbags'), there is plenty here to amuse and entertain.
