No, the cop from episodes ago when they were going to originally kill Randall. They made a point of noting that the dead cop had no bite marks, and they assumed it was the scratches that did it. Maybe I'm misremembering/misreading.

And I find myself reaching for Bejewelled whenever there are dialogue scenes and I feel my eyes are going to roll into the back of my head.

carl is SO ANNOYING, his little fucking face.

herchel for me is the comedy gold of this show, all his lines are just so stereotyped and awful, to the point that it's actually hilarious. "me and that couch became very good friends, yep folks, now i have to go until my next appearance in this bad videogame"

I'd like to see them go the length of the comic, which I haven't read. Just like watching zombie drama. My only real complaint is too many commercials, and yeah hate Carl.

carl was a little less offensive this week. actually I thought this was the best ep of the season.

to be fair it has definitely improved with this ep and last week's, hugely.

I agree. And it's still got awesome special effects no matter what. I mean, how could I walk away from a pitchfork through a zombie head :D

one of the major zombie rules that has NOT yet shown up in the show but almost certainly WILL (because some big plot points circle around it) is that if ANYBODY in this new world dies (whether it's from a zombie bite or not), they eventually come back to life as a zombie.

This is one of the things from the comics that seemed unbelievably dumb.

i got the feeling that this was a recent/new development in the zombie 'illness'. although I guess, also, they haven't seen anyone die from anyone other than zombies until recently.

i appreciated that they finally attempted to make some shots of this show look vaguely comic book-y this episode. want more of that please.

Hasn't this always been the case from Night of the Living Dead on? The dead or freshly dead come back to life? Because otherwise there's a chicken or egg thing going on.

As the main contribution to Zombie Lore from the series, it seemed pretty striking when I read it, but it being a bombshell (It is I think the bit mentioned above where Rick says "Don't you see, WE ARE THE WALKING DEAD (do you see)") is a bit ridiculous, like dude there are already these things called crematoriums?

The scene where they find a "live" zombie hanging from a tree may be the first indicator that the living turn to zombies when they die

Plus having a zombie horde show up doesn't seem too unrealistic given that they already established that there is huge hordes of roamers (or whatever they're called). Also, they are still very near populous areas given their proximity to Atlanta and Peachtree City

maybe i should watch it again but how rotten did the horde look? could it be randall's people who were supposedly only 5 miles away, all now zombified? that would be convenient.

did they ever go back to what that scientist dude told rick? assume it's something to do with anyone who dies becoming a zombie.

Overall I enjoyed the comics a lot. Well, I've only read the first 50 or so.

I only read the first book compilation so perhaps it got better down the road but I just didn't care for it.

those of you who have read the comics please spoil me this - do the buried dead ever rise from their graves? i am a sucker for a rise-from-the-grave scene.

good season closer. felt like this show really picked up in the last 1/4 of the season, maybe dumping darabont was the right move.

yeah, i liked it enough to watch next season.

Disappointed in the zombie attack tho. I don't think it was well choreographed. Two scenes of Herschel firing his shotgun was two too many.

yes, there was a helo. i think it was to explain the reason the zombies took to the countryside. they followed it.

it was a bit weird, the mass movement, and then when glenn said later "they're migrating or something".

think rick's conversion into shane II was a bit silly, and the end was a bit flat.

I forgot the CDC guy whispered something. This was pretty close to that scene in The Lost World: Jurassic Park where Pete Posthlewaite and his crew round up a heard of dinos.

didin't Rick say he heard a helicopter earlier in the season? back when they were gonna go to the military base (fort bragg?)

FINALLY michonne too eh. You guys are gonna catch up to the comic in like ten seasons.

michonne made a 5 second appearance at the end. guess the series is over until the fall.

And they panned up at the very end to the prison. Maybe we'll finally get lucky and get both Michonne AND Tyreese? One can hope?
