I don't know what you mean by that but it's about time we have an episode that has ten times more killing

maybe i should watch it again but how rotten did the horde look? could it be randall's people who were supposedly only 5 miles away, all now zombified? that would be convenient.

did they ever go back to what that scientist dude told rick? assume it's something to do with anyone who dies becoming a zombie.

i assumed it was either that or else he told him lori was pregnant

As the main contribution to Zombie Lore from the series, it seemed pretty striking when I read it, but it being a bombshell (It is I think the bit mentioned above where Rick says "Don't you see, WE ARE THE WALKING DEAD (do you see)") is a bit ridiculous, like dude there are already these things called crematoriums?

Return Of The Living Dead addressed that issue quite handily!

one of the major zombie rules that has NOT yet shown up in the show but almost certainly WILL (because some big plot points circle around it) is that if ANYBODY in this new world dies (whether it's from a zombie bite or not), they eventually come back to life as a zombie.

Overall I enjoyed the comics a lot. Well, I've only read the first 50 or so.

I only read the first book compilation so perhaps it got better down the road but I just didn't care for it.

good season closer. felt like this show really picked up in the last 1/4 of the season, maybe dumping darabont was the right move.

yeah, i liked it enough to watch next season.

Disappointed in the zombie attack tho. I don't think it was well choreographed. Two scenes of Herschel firing his shotgun was two too many.

yes, there was a helo. i think it was to explain the reason the zombies took to the countryside. they followed it.

it was a bit weird, the mass movement, and then when glenn said later "they're migrating or something".

think rick's conversion into shane II was a bit silly, and the end was a bit flat.

I forgot the CDC guy whispered something. This was pretty close to that scene in The Lost World: Jurassic Park where Pete Posthlewaite and his crew round up a heard of dinos.

didin't Rick say he heard a helicopter earlier in the season? back when they were gonna go to the military base (fort bragg?)

FINALLY michonne too eh. You guys are gonna catch up to the comic in like ten seasons.

michonne made a 5 second appearance at the end. guess the series is over until the fall.

And they panned up at the very end to the prison. Maybe we'll finally get lucky and get both Michonne AND Tyreese? One can hope?

George Oscar: I sort of loved that as soon as T-Dog got two white women in a truck by himself, his solution was to basically abscond with them and ditch everyone else.

That was awesome and way more entertaining than the show has been.

That comedy bit needed more zombies.

-this is a pretty humorless show so of course the one gag they do in the finale is "asians drive like this" ;_;

-they run out of gas despite the fact that there were thousands of cars on the highway they could've siphoned

You know, I always wondered how long gas would stay usable for (in a car or gas can) after an apocalypse - 30 days to several months, apparently.

I remain impressed by the supply of beauty and grooming products they maintain, and how Lori always remembers to put her earrings in during the zombie apocalypse.

just read about what characters they're bringing in for the next season and how it correlates with the comics and it sounds about a million times more interesting than anything else that they've attempted.

Been watching this as it comes on C5 in the UK, and the season 2 finale was last night. Thought it was awesome, and really intrigued by Michonne and the prison. Haven't read any of the comics yet, but think I might have to delve... Psyched by production shots of season 3.

I'm watching the Season 2 finale on Irish telly tonight. Jesus, Rick really likes to get chatty when it's dark and he's standing in an exposed place, doesn't he?

season 3 premiere was peak form for this show imo - perhaps that's not saying a whole lot, considering how tedious and lame most of last season was, but it def shows renewed potential.

In the comic he doesn't live long after the amputation, for what it's worth. But then he also got together with Andrea, so it's not an infallible guide.

I'm hoping they transplant his head to T-Dawg's shoulder like that movie, The Thing With Two Heads. Although, with regards to acting, T-Dawg is no Rosey Grier.

Season 2 now on Netflix. Have watched 2 1/2 eps, am about to stop because it seems like there's, um, lots of talking and rehashing and emoting and staring off into the middle distance, and very little walking dead, and what walking dead business there is doesn't seem to add anything to what's come before (OK, there's a herd, they walk towards us, we chop their heads in one by one, etc.) Should I persist, and how long? I liked season 1.

Herschel got with Andrea in the comic? I thought that was the old dude with the RV.

eephus: 2 was a bit of a snooze but so far season 3 seems to have figured out what it wants to do, imo

back half of season 2's a lot better imo. season 3 seems good so far, especially since it looks like they're press fast foward on a bunch of these storylines

i have to admit, though, i'm a little disappointed they immediately undercut Michonne's badass psycho loner into Andrea's nursemaid, but oh well lol AMC :( maybe we'll get some flashbacking on that one

and yeah i think it was Dale who hooked up with Andrea AND her sister (ick). didn't the Herschel amputation happen waaay later too?
