rother attendance in question, was up til 7am last night and woke up at 10 this morning so feeling somewhat rough

i attended a multicultural sector 'gala dinner' on satdee night thru work, it was a door prize!

hilarious moments from the evening:

• the premier's speech getting interrupted by some insane community radio woman getting on stage and trying to do one of those compliment sandwiches - "thanks for your support, give us more money"
• work colleague got photo later with the premier basically doing westside gang signs
• we stole chocolate from another table on the way out
• ended up finishing evening w/ karaoke - perhaps finishing evening celebrating cultural diversity by bawling along to 'killing in the name' not exactly appropriate

I didnae recognise any trax tbh :/ There was at least 2 songs in the encore (maybe 3?) but by that point my feet had crapped it so I was up the back leaning v heavily on the bar talking to my old mate graeme from cranberrer.

i reckon the first couple loud ones were takes on 'hallogallo' and 'negativland' - could tell by some of the melody on the former and the sikkk riff of the latter. they don't mind messing with their sound though, clearly.

yeah as i was leaving i said to miss r that they were prob going to encore with hallogallo and as much as i would have liked to hear it the idea of having to stand through it when i was on the edge of collapse did not hold appeal

i enjoyed it though the weird "modern" techno bits seemed ill-advised and rother hit a surprising amount (i.e. any) of bum notes at various points

nah no 'hallogallo' for the encore - i mean first couple of louder songs at the start of the set.

the two club bangers were def based on stuff from harmonia 'live 1974'
