Trudy is very likable to me, even tho she's a nazi.

I can't tell if my feelings about Trudy are shaded by my feelings about Annie on Community (and/or Alison Brie in general). Those are positive feelings, btw.

I wouldn't assume that Betty is being given a smaller role, only because Christopher Stanley (Henry Francis) is now credited as a regular cast member.

(Unless the idea there is that Betty is on-screen no more than Henry is, and they don't want to officially demote January Jones, so they'll promote Christopher Stanley instead.)

I read this as her previously overstepping/being too modern ("well, don was divorced...") and realizing that "yes" is the correct answer, even if she found work talk exciting from a professional pov.

Didn't Betty "Yes" her way through dinners just like that in season 1 or am I not remembering correctly?

Yeah, but I think she had two modes because I remember her asking which kind of wife she should be a dinner they were going to.
