Trudy is very likable to me, even tho she's a nazi.

Mordy, Thursday, 29 March 2012 20:05 (twelve years ago) link

I can't tell if my feelings about Trudy are shaded by my feelings about Annie on Community (and/or Alison Brie in general). Those are positive feelings, btw.

Flat Of NAGLs (sleeve), Thursday, 29 March 2012 21:06 (twelve years ago) link

I wouldn't assume that Betty is being given a smaller role, only because Christopher Stanley (Henry Francis) is now credited as a regular cast member.

Cuba Pudding, Jr. (jaymc), Thursday, 29 March 2012 21:23 (twelve years ago) link

(Unless the idea there is that Betty is on-screen no more than Henry is, and they don't want to officially demote January Jones, so they'll promote Christopher Stanley instead.)

Cuba Pudding, Jr. (jaymc), Thursday, 29 March 2012 21:24 (twelve years ago) link

You guys, I think about the politics of TV credits a lot.

So they went the Frasier route.

Respectfully, Tyrese Gibson (Nicole), Monday, 2 April 2012 03:17 (twelve years ago) link

The Lurch and Morticia comment makes more sense now that I've seen the house.

So was Betty wearing her real baby fat or did they just put her in costume?

lolromney part was funny.

Loved watching Pete burn Roger in front of the whole office.

Johnny Fever, Monday, 2 April 2012 04:28 (twelve years ago) link

best: Megan gamely saying "yes" in response to something Mrs. Heinz said in just the same way Don gamely says "yes" when he just needs the conversation to continue.

worst: Betty eating ice cream was too """on the nose"""

Nicholas Pokémon (silby), Monday, 2 April 2012 04:28 (twelve years ago) link

Don Draper saying "yes" is like my favorite thing about this show

I read this as her previously overstepping/being too modern ("well, don was divorced...") and realizing that "yes" is the correct answer, even if she found work talk exciting from a professional pov.

Waxahachie Swap (Jimmy The Mod Awaits The Return Of His Beloved), Monday, 2 April 2012 04:40 (twelve years ago) link

Didn't Betty "Yes" her way through dinners just like that in season 1 or am I not remembering correctly?

*tera, Monday, 2 April 2012 04:51 (twelve years ago) link

Yeah, but I think she had two modes because I remember her asking which kind of wife she should be a dinner they were going to.
