I thought the ending of Repulsion might suggest that there is someone within the family, or just outside the frame, that might be party somehow to Deneuve's madness.

Also noticed that a group of older people and/or apartment building residents all get together for the ending scenes of Repulsion, Rosemary's Baby, and the Tenant.

just saw rosemary's baby for the first time. wasnt at all what i expected- far more interesting, and funny. and fucked up.
