England will beat Ukraine tonight - crushing underdogs' dreams is the one thing England do reliably well. I think France may well lose to Sweden though; I don't think they'd be particularly fussed about facing Italy rather than Spain.

Sweden give even less of a fuck than France, especially with Ibra saying he really doesn't care too much about the group now they're knocked out. Schevchenko is done, although I'll never underestimate England's love of basic defensive screw-ups.

Last time something like this happened Italy went on to win the World Cup. Corruption scandals are clearly good for Italian football.

Very harsh on Lewy, he's much better at link-up play and through balls than Gomez imo. Have you seen him play for Dortmund much?

rvp is better imo but you don't see it so often when he plays as a #9

rooney better than the rest probably yeah....although passing is about vision as much as skill

anyway as i much as i detest this england team, the chance to play a successful, established forward line consisting of two actual football players (in the sense other countries might recognise) in welbeck and rooney, is one of the only things in their favour

haven't paid too much attention to his defending but i've liked the look of gebre selassie going forward.
