Dude.
I don't have the cocaine you crave.
Perhaps you should try switching to heroin. Then you'd be too busy staring at the wall when you weren't getting money for more to be on here. *"Gets!"*

rio natsume, Monday, 26 February 2007 19:19 (seventeen years ago) link

B-b-but I have five great PAL releases, as well as a couple of shitters!

melton mowbray, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 01:35 (seventeen years ago) link

what games have you got melton

webber, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 09:09 (seventeen years ago) link

Zelda, Excitetruck (the best), Sports, Play, Warioware, Kororinpa and Red Steel.

Red Steel is the only real shitter of the bunch, but feel free to pick one of the others to make it a couple :)

melton mowbray, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 14:34 (seventeen years ago) link

oh yeah i forgot wii sports. what is kororinpa?

rio natsume, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 14:49 (seventeen years ago) link

I can't believe how long I played Warioware before I figured out I could switch it to left-handed. You guys don't know wtf I went through!

nickalicious, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 15:35 (seventeen years ago) link

The Wii Sonic game is dope, but I haven't bought it yet.

nickalicious, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 15:35 (seventeen years ago) link

fuck nintendo :(

s1ocki, Wednesday, 28 February 2007 16:16 (seventeen years ago) link

Kororinpa's like a really easy but awesome Monkey-Ball-meets-Marble-Madness game. You get different shaped balls, like rugby balls and pandas, which roll and bounce differently. The best thing about it, is there's no limit to how much you can tilt the level around, so you can flip the remote upside down to go on the ceiling in some bits. It's got great music, too :)

MARBLE MADNESS II: THE AWAKENING

forksclovetofu, Thursday, 1 March 2007 02:49 (seventeen years ago) link

Yeah. Damn, I have to get a wii now, if that ever gets released here. That game is like the spiritual successor to Marble Madness that I've been hoping for for years now.

Z S, Thursday, 1 March 2007 23:38 (seventeen years ago) link

s1locki did you ever get a wii? i wanna know if they're avail. in the city yet

Will M., Friday, 2 March 2007 16:22 (seventeen years ago) link

hahaha i put the 1 and the L.

Will M., Friday, 2 March 2007 16:22 (seventeen years ago) link

there's like two more marble-madness type games where you move the environment around a roly-poly protagonist, from the Elebits team at konami where you're a water droplet and something else from somewhere else that I forgot

xp. im totally buying this gimmicky thing.

jim in vancouver, Thursday, 14 July 2016 18:13 (seven years ago) link

uuugh i'm gonna buy that stupid thing i think.

Nhex, Thursday, 14 July 2016 18:44 (seven years ago) link

I expect my son will be all over this, looks like a good deal

Al Moon Faced Poon (Moodles), Thursday, 14 July 2016 18:45 (seven years ago) link

they are going to sell so many of these

sam jax sax jam (Jordan), Thursday, 14 July 2016 18:54 (seven years ago) link

I think a pre-order is in order.

jim in vancouver, Thursday, 14 July 2016 18:54 (seven years ago) link

why not just download an emulator for free and get a USB NES controller

best beloved trumppence (crüt), Thursday, 14 July 2016 18:55 (seven years ago) link

you can't even play Klax on that thing

best beloved trumppence (crüt), Thursday, 14 July 2016 18:55 (seven years ago) link

*extreme nerd voice* wonder about the upscaling

mh, Thursday, 14 July 2016 18:58 (seven years ago) link

why not just download an emulator for free and get a USB NES controller

why not do both

reggae mike love (polyphonic), Thursday, 14 July 2016 18:59 (seven years ago) link

this is meant as a xmas present almost certainly and is going to be the hot gift

thrusted pelvis-first back (ulysses), Thursday, 14 July 2016 19:02 (seven years ago) link

and after two months, it will join my ouya in storage

thrusted pelvis-first back (ulysses), Thursday, 14 July 2016 19:02 (seven years ago) link

so aside from the built-in games, does this (only?) play old cartridges?

sam jax sax jam (Jordan), Thursday, 14 July 2016 19:03 (seven years ago) link

doesn't play cartridges at all by my understanding! just plug and play.

thrusted pelvis-first back (ulysses), Thursday, 14 July 2016 19:03 (seven years ago) link

I think the whole thing is cartridge-sized? idk

mh, Thursday, 14 July 2016 19:03 (seven years ago) link

yeah it just plays these 30 games, basically just a little box with a NES emulator in it.

jim in vancouver, Thursday, 14 July 2016 19:07 (seven years ago) link

oh word. i still have most of those cartridges and a couple ways to play them (bootleg 'FC Twin' NES + SNES, old NES). but a tiny emulator with most of my favorite games is tempting.

sam jax sax jam (Jordan), Thursday, 14 July 2016 19:10 (seven years ago) link

ftr it's 60 bucks, hdmi ready and comes with a wireless nes controller and the following

Balloon Fight, Bubble Bobble, Castlevania, Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Double Dragon II: The Revenge, Dr. Mario, Excitebike, Final Fantasy, Galaga, Ghosts' N Ghoblins, Gradius, Ice Climber, Kid Icarus, Kirby's Adventure, Mario Bros., Mega Man 2, Metroid, Ninja Gaiden, Pac-Man, Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream, StarTropics, SUPER C, Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3, Tecmo Bowl, The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link.

thrusted pelvis-first back (ulysses), Thursday, 14 July 2016 19:11 (seven years ago) link

that is an undeniably solid lineup

a mini-snes would be amazing

brexit through the rift shock (bizarro gazzara), Thursday, 14 July 2016 19:14 (seven years ago) link

hasn't there been a Sega Genesis version of this for years?

still I expect this to sell out and go for double the price come December

frogbs, Thursday, 14 July 2016 19:15 (seven years ago) link

SNES version should cost seven thousand dollars and only contain Shaq-Fu and Bébé's Kids

best beloved trumppence (crüt), Thursday, 14 July 2016 19:21 (seven years ago) link

It's got a majority of ILX's top 20 3rd-gen (aka top 20 NES) games, but it's missing a few:

#6: Contra (although Super C is there)
#9: Ducktales
#11: River City Ransom
#12: Bionic Commando
#13: Tetris
#17: TMNT II
#19: Super Dodge Ball

xp neither of those games have even been nominated for the 4th gen poll crut, get on it

a simba man (Will M.), Thursday, 14 July 2016 19:22 (seven years ago) link

I'd be more inclined to get it if it included 3-D Worldrunner and RC Pro-Am, my two favorite nes games.

socka flocka-jones (man alive), Thursday, 14 July 2016 19:24 (seven years ago) link

someone's hacked an "every nintendo game, one cartridge" type of thing together, right? I think my friend had one, but maybe that was for snes

my friend with a full standing neo geo arcade system has one of those but with like 50 neo geo games on it. metal slug, king of monsters, puzzle de pon, all a couple button pushes away.

mh, Monday, 25 July 2016 17:23 (seven years ago) link

many xps WHOA thats like totally the fake instrument from the Masters of the Universe movie but like FOR REAL

Nhex, Tuesday, 26 July 2016 06:02 (seven years ago) link

(useless post alert)

Had a dream that someone had released a mini c64, which worked as a wireless keyboard for PCs. It was cylinderical in shape and about the size of a tv remote, but the keys wrapped all the way around it making it completely unusable.

Remember?

They're using the same tactic for NES Classic. Every store that got them in stock to sell today only had somewhere between 3-12 total... mostly leaning towards the lower end of that.

Evan, Friday, 11 November 2016 16:03 (seven years ago) link

its been a while since they had to make more than 5 consoles at a time, maybe they forgot how to!

( X '____' )/ (zappi), Friday, 11 November 2016 16:10 (seven years ago) link

Well, they apparently didn't do it with Wii U! From what I hear.

Evan, Friday, 11 November 2016 16:17 (seven years ago) link

no one bought more than two wii u consoles in a given city at any time

mh 😏, Friday, 11 November 2016 16:20 (seven years ago) link

Well, point is this feels like some Record Store Day BS
