sick of this place playing funny buggers, turning the temp every thurs, kicking off rain every fri

Prob a good thing anyway if it was 30 all weekend I'd just sit in the yard and drink a slab of cider and quietly fall into the garden.

frances boredom coconut (Trayce), Thursday, 4 October 2012 05:18 (eleven years ago) link

...or maybe not so quietly knowing me.

frances boredom coconut (Trayce), Thursday, 4 October 2012 05:18 (eleven years ago) link

Was N's 30th bday party on Sat night. Not one of his fucking friends showed up for it. Not one. I'm completely disgusted with so many ppl I know right now.

poor n1ck

xpost they're a smart bunch those kenix.

ian curtis e. bear (electricsound), Sunday, 7 October 2012 22:59 (eleven years ago) link

Yeh well it was partly his... well faults not the rite word but he didnt organise anything til like 6 days beforehand, so in fairness some people couldnt come cos they had plans. Other people he thought he was close to and actually said they were coming? None of em showed.

And this is the 2nd time a partic group of his friends have bailed on somehting he's planned, and the poor bastard's taken it really hard and I want to punch some people in the balls.

Una Stubbs' Tears (Trayce), Sunday, 7 October 2012 23:01 (eleven years ago) link

6 days is piles of notice imo

Autumn Almanac, Sunday, 7 October 2012 23:07 (eleven years ago) link

And it was his 30th ffs. Oh well. I'm only steamed up cos I could see how hurt he was.

Una Stubbs' Tears (Trayce), Sunday, 7 October 2012 23:27 (eleven years ago) link

6 days is very little notice imo

fistula-la-la (sic), Sunday, 7 October 2012 23:40 (eleven years ago) link

Yeah I didnt think it was that much tbh. Usually inside the week ppl know what theyre doing that weekend. Also, using FB only for invitin' is asking for trouble, I rly wish people would stop it.

Una Stubbs' Tears (Trayce), Sunday, 7 October 2012 23:48 (eleven years ago) link

for a sat nite i'd probably lean towards it being a relatively short notice period

still it is not a lot of effort for a mate to pop in even for a bit

ian curtis e. bear (electricsound), Sunday, 7 October 2012 23:48 (eleven years ago) link

6 days is very little notice imo

it was enough for the people who said they would go and then didn't

it was enough for the people who said they would go and then didn't

that's a completely different issue from the people who said they couldn't bcz it was short notice and they had plans though

fistula-la-la (sic), Monday, 8 October 2012 01:16 (eleven years ago) link

ie short notice: fair enough, rsvping and no-showing: dicks

fistula-la-la (sic), Monday, 8 October 2012 01:17 (eleven years ago) link

^^agree with this.

i tend to think a two-week invite lead is good. three weeks starts looking a bit vain, shorter than about 10 days is http://standing8.files.wordpress.com/2008/05/08-too-short1.jpg

Yah I kept telling him to stop putting it off and organise something like 2-3 weeks ago. Ah well.

I'mma make him a "cake" made out of a giant stack of krispy kremes with a candle stuck in it to cheer him up.

(ie I am lazy lol)
