Kinda fascinating -- so Instapundit can't stop being Instapundit but in this post he includes a very lengthy comment from a reader that basically acts as a sharp critique for him and his readers that I can't really disagree with on the general front.

I wasn't much moved by the 2008 election except by relief that the Bush junta was out of power but the results last night exceeded my expectations because, like Morbs, I had none. Good news for Alfred:
1. Probable felon David Rivera voted convincingly out of office.2. State constitution amendments regulating abortion funds, rescinding Affordable Care Act, and calling for "religious freedom" in public schools convincingly dismissed3. Alan Grayson!4. Elizabeth Warren!5. Maryland! Maine!6. California, saved.7. Affordable Care Act out of GOP hands
Warren, Baldwin, and Grayson may yet prove disappointments but I've never experienced an election in my lifetime in which a host of serious, far-reaching liberal policies and potential legislatie enablers were affirmed – decisively.
Fuck hope. This is change.

there was a youtube video where someone interviewed a black woman talking about her obamaphone and right wingers were claiming it proved that obama was bribing voters w/ phones. it turned out that the phone was from a government program to provide phones to disadvantaged + poor and that the program predates obama administration.
IIRC

"Obamaphone" is yet another article of right-wing "BLACK PEOPLE BE GETTIN' FREE STUFF ON YOUR DIME" faith, when in reality it's part of a 30-year-old federal program ensuring that poor people have access to emergency communications.
