it's very true that the love for this album is more "universal" than it is strictly "niche"

unsurprisingly this was a very convincing victory

This is partly about audience splits I think - I'm betting that a large segment of voters were split not just between Silent Shout and Fever Ray but also those and Third, whereas as a general rule I suspect the kind of voter who would put Kaputt first was not troubled by the lure of any other option.
